Zone1 Jesus did not intend for us to go by the Bible alone

I hear what you are saying, but the Catholic and Orthodox started that first division even though Christ prayed we would remain one. We have no right to complain about further division when we have not healed that first one. If it is not important for Catholics and Orthodox to reunite, how can we complain when others don't see reunification as important either?

Well, for one thing, they didn't totally separate. They are still, in practice, Catholic. I don't know as much as I'd like (whoever does) about the Orthodox except they reject the papacy. Other than that, they do the Mass the old fashioned way (i've heard) so they are far closer to being fully Catholic than Protestants. Protestantism is an entirely different "animal." And as I have said or implied b4, it is protestantism that is to blame (Luther, mostly) for how things are today, the insanity... drag shows.. massive corruption in govt. etc.. After all, if you can do whatever you want and not have to worry about Hell (or so people believe), why bother doing good or holy things? -it's the old once saved always saved nonsense that a lot of people believe, if only on a subconscious kind of level..

The Bible was put together by.. what? whom? The Catholic Church in the 4th century. Everyone these days goes on about Scripture (great) but forgets/abandons the Church that gave us scripture (the New T)

That doesn't make one bit of sense

Jesus did NOT.. repeat.. did NOT say that the Bible was to be our Church (go ahead and try to find where He said that in scripture)

He said that he would build His Church, though.. Mt 16:18 (and even Hell cannot destroy it)

There is NO Church that goes back in history further than the Catholic Church.

So any purported "church" that comes along after the first century cannot be trusted as being the one Christ founded. That seems logical enough

But few believe it. And speaking of FEW

Of course not, He specifically said the Holy Spirit would be given to us as comforter and guide. The early church, moreover, was congratulated for, wait for it, searching the Scriptures to ensure that what they were taught lined up with them. We are to do the same things when someone comes along and tries to teach us new things that are not found in Scripture. We are to search the SCRIPTURES (not Papal Bulls) to determine for ourselves if these things are true or not, and if they are not, we are free to jettison them.

That's right, and one of the things Jesus was adamant about was not feeling superior to your fellow believers and not sowing discord and strife in the Brotherhood. Again, something you should be concerned about.
