Another way to say it is he spilled the beans.

The right-wing media machine is hitting a wall

Last week, Fox News host Jesse Watters offered a succinct and accurate explanation of how the right elevates stories.

“We are waging a 21st-century information warfare campaign against the left, and they are using tactics from the 1990s,” he said, mocking Democrats’ reliance on news conferences and traditional media stories. “What you’re seeing on the right is asymmetrical. It’s like grassroots guerrilla warfare. Someone says something on social media. Musk retweets it. [Joe] Rogan podcasts it. Fox broadcasts it. And by the time it reaches everybody, millions of people have seen it.”

So.........Watters' view isn't exactly in the mold of the famous newsman Edward R. Murrow. More in the mold of the famous propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

I'm going to take the liberty of changing Watters' quote to more accurately reflect what's happening. “We are waging a 21st-century disinformation warfare campaign against the left." He even explains the step by step methodology of how lies gain widespread adoption among consumers of RWM before they can be refuted. We know from psychological studies once a belief is adopted it is difficult to dislodge. Which explains why so many beliefs on the Right remain after being thoroughly debunked.

This began with Limbaugh: "Don't listen to them, everything they say is a lie. Just listen to ME." It became a completely binary situation. No critical thinking required.

It continued to devolve, and now we exist in two entirely separate universes. This might be a self-inflicted wound that kills us.

Well, he was right about the left lying.

I was struck by someone who ostensibly works for a news outlet taking the attitude of disinformation being warfare against the other side. Starting with lies on social media and then amplified by the loudest propaganda outlet the world have ever seen, Watters' employer.

And conservatives will continue to spread disinformation and lies because it has brought them political success.

It wouldn't even occur to him to look in the mirror. Not even for a moment.

Ideology distorts.

Brought to you by the side that thinks women can have penises.

Success in the form of the most untrustworthy prez in our history being put in charge by the most brainwashed population in our history.

Implicit in "right wing propaganda" is personal responsibility by the people, which is anathema to the Left.

Of course there are limits. I wouldn't suggest that my liberal graduate students obtain a box cutter to properly flatten their Amazon shipping boxes because someone would cut themselves and sue my company.

As soon as the pressure increases somewhat, the cracks show up. We have near a yearly two trillion-dollar deficit with a yearly one trillion-dollar interest on the debt. Deficit spending in proper use, is only when there is a recession or war. We kept them up through good and not so good times. So, the effect of the deficit spending is less and less as a positive.
