Jeb proposes serious tax cuts

If a politician wants to impress me it takes more than simply fiddling with tax rates. I'd rather see somebody take common sense to the tax return form and get rid of all the extraneous bullshit calculations. After dealing with this for 4 decades now my vision of tax reform is that on April 15 they gather the President and all Senators and Representatives and randomly select one to publicly execute by firing squad. Make this as an annual event until some sense is driven into these idiots.

Cut tax for the rich, increase it for the poor, send the poor to war too, make the defense industry rich, who then give campaign funds to the Reps.

Cutting taxes on the rich is just stupid. We need more revenue if our infrastructure isn't going to fall into rivers, maintaining our science institutions, etc.

Jeb Bush is a loserterian idiot.

And you're an average ignorant progressive liberal... Maybe you and Jed should **** or something.

And you're a loserterian moron that hasn't a clue how a modern society works. Maybe you should go **** cruz and paul somewhere?
Lol speaking of clueless go look in the mirror.

This is the best thing Jeb has said.

I want lower taxes all around.

I have an idea!!!

Lets get rid of ALLL military spending and Pretend that there will be no loss in jobs or hit to the economy so that we can resell people the idea that we'll "invest" that money into INFRASTRUCTURE!!!!!

We can tell these lemming ***** that magically cutting military will balance the deficit!

Bu because our supporters are mentally ******* retarded we don't have to mention re-directing that money to "other" projects means you never actually stopped spending and thus never actually balanced the budget!!!

Not that cutting even all of military spending would close the deficit spending we do, not to mention we would not have 0 defense of any kind whatsoever!!!

Great news, when anyone decides to take us over in any fashion they see fit, they will have 37 lane freeways to march their military our our country!

Matt for President!!!!!

Or wait, does Matt not want to cut military spending, and just add new trillions to the deficit spending every year????

Totally sustainable Matt, bravo!!! Yer a genius!!! No one ever thought of this before you!!!! Even the people that caused famous wars like, WWII =)

So as you say "we would not have 0 defense of any kind" means we would in fact, have defense of some kind. Governor Palin, is that you typing these posts using the name Avorysuds?

The rich pay about 10-15% in taxes effectly. yet, you idiots want them to pay less? Even after they have screwed this country over.

You want to cut, slash and deregulate everything until there's nothing left of this country...So brainwashed, so ******* stupid.

Well, don't call the police, don't drive on our roads and don't look at the nws page for the latest severe weather warning. If you do then you're a bum. You hate taxes??? Well, only a bum or someone that live out in the middle of a swamp would say what you say.

It's interesting. Read it all before you start yelling.

By Steve Holland Republican Jeb Bush to propose personal, corporate tax cuts

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush is proposing broad tax cuts for individuals and corporations as part of a plan to trigger stronger U.S. economic growth if he is elected in November 2016.

Bush laid out key elements of his tax overhaul in an opinion article posted on Tuesday for the Wall Street Journal, a day before he gives a speech outlining his plan in North Carolina.

The former Florida governor would cut the corporate tax rate to 20 percent from 35 percent. He would reduce the number of individual tax brackets to three from seven, with a high rate of 28 percent and then down to 25 percent and 10 percent.

In a move to encourage U.S. companies to bring home an estimated $2 trillion in overseas profits, he would assess a one-time tax of 8.75 percent on these profits payable over 10 years.
The US needs tax reform not tax reductions. We need to eliminate tax deductions focused on a few, we need to increase the total dollars social security taxes are paid.
We need every American to pay some tax.
"tax deduction" is a useless term to get votes.

We need to make sure the rich can't scam the system and will be forced to pay. No more cuts...

Cut tax for the rich, increase it for the poor, send the poor to war too, make the defense industry rich, who then give campaign funds to the Reps.

And cut education, our science institutions and let our roads fall into the river. Seems retarded.
Typical ignorant leftist bullshit.
cut education, cut police cut fire cut cut cut, but never do you hear about cutting foreign aid, or funding for abortions, or subsidies for health care or cuts on welfare.
Obviously the only thing the left is willing to consider cutting are those things they dont need in their jobless lives.
equal income without equal effort is no way to run a country.

Great, just what we need, after all, we've been drowning in jobs from tax cuts and trickle down economics.

Same old small government with less regulations = a massive crash bs the republicans have been running on for the past 2 decades. Wtf has it done for AMerica? We will look like somalia before they're done.
and just how do we rank with the rest of the world as far as taxing corporations???
Please tell us.

Doing the bidding of the right. Bush is the most dangerous of all the Republican candidates by a long way.

And you're an average ignorant progressive liberal... Maybe you and Jed should **** or something.

"The debt explosion has resulted not from big spending by the Democrats, but instead the Republican Party's embrace, about three decades ago, of the insidious doctrine that deficits don't matter if they result from tax cuts."

What? The point was that the RIGHT cut this, not the left wanting it.

The right INCREASE military spending and reduce spending on things people ACTUALLY NEED.

Is that the truth or a half truth. Would the dems go along with reducing government?

The IRS has actually asked for the Tax code to be simplified but Congress is dragging it heels. Someone said it on Maher a few weeks back.

Give IRS a proper budget so they can do there job. The IRS aren't the probelm and are good at getting everyone to pay their fair share.

I think the Democrats view here is:
Get the rich to pay a an effective tax that a person earning a $75k pays
Use the money to invest in setting up infrasture and proper IT to run the givernment effectively.

The Right has spent so much time trying to destory and defund the government in so many areas they have made it very hard to do its job. Look at the Vets, Obama has been a whole presidency trying to fix a problem which came from massive lack of invest ment by Bush when he went to war.
Add in stuff like the US electricity supply grid, public transport, roads & bridges,.....

But the biggest abuser of US taxpayers money is Defense, it is scarey what they are let away with...

Mathew here might sound like a broken record but doesn't mean he is wrong. The future of US (and this planet) is not in sending young men and women to a land war in the ME but the innvation that is created at home.
Innovation involves risks but it also gives rewards. We are close in Battery technology which is a game changer.

Our real war (or focus) is Climate Change and the technology we need to defeat that. The righties can spout all they like but they never back anything with credibility. The World's Climate is warming at an increasing rate(this is plain fact, even the scietist deniers have conceded that now), we need to do something... Righties you are now part of the problem and we need solutions...

Here is your word for the day...PAY-GO...

Now look into how many Republicans voted for PAY-GO...

January 28, 2010, 04:58 pm
Senate passes pay-go rule on party-line vote

The Senate voted along party lines on Thursday to adopt statutory pay-go rules in a party-lines vote.

60 Democratic senators voted to adopt the pay-go measure (short for "pay-as-you-go"), which would require that new spending measures be offset in the budget by other funds, typically raised through tax increases or cuts to spending.

Republicans have said that by installing the rule, pay-go would become an excuse for tax hikes, since spending cuts are frequently unpopular.

All Democrats voted for the measure, and all 40 Republicans voted against it. The House adopted such a rule in a 265-166 vote last July.

President Barack Obama urged senators to move forward with the new rule in his State of the Union address on Wednesday night.

"When the vote comes tomorrow, the Senate should restore the pay-as-you-go law that was a big reason for why we had record surpluses in the 1990s," he said.

Obama's remarks came within the context of a broader effort toward deficit reduction, in addition to a three-year freeze on non-defense discretionary spending, and a commission on deficit reduction established by executive order.
