James O’Keefe’s OMG catches grooming teacher

Other than Obama had nothing to do with it?
The No Child Left Behind Act was implemented by President George W. Bush when he signed it into law on January 8, 2002.

During the 2009–2017 administration of Barack Obama, there was no single sweeping federal takeover of public education. Instead, the administration pursued a series of reforms focused on accountability, standards, teacher effectiveness, school improvement, and early childhood education.

Some of the most significant changes were:

1. Race to the Top (2009)

This was Obama's signature K–12 education initiative.

The federal government offered states competitive grants if they adopted reforms such as:

  • Higher academic standards
  • Better student data systems
  • Teacher evaluations tied partly to student performance
  • Efforts to improve low-performing schools
  • College- and career-readiness goals
More than $4 billion was awarded to participating states. Even states that did not receive grants often changed laws or policies to remain competitive.

2. Expansion of Common Core Standards

Although the federal government did not create the Common Core standards, the Obama administration strongly encouraged states to adopt them through Race to the Top incentives.

Common Core sought to establish more consistent math and English standards across states. By the mid-2010s, most states had adopted some version of the standards, though several later modified or replaced them.

3. Replacing No Child Left Behind

In 2015, Obama signed the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

ESSA:

  • Replaced the No Child Left Behind Act
  • Kept annual standardized testing requirements
  • Reduced federal control over how states used test results
  • Gave states greater flexibility in designing accountability systems
  • Continued requiring intervention in struggling schools
Supporters viewed ESSA as reducing excessive federal micromanagement while preserving accountability.

4. Increased Support for Early Childhood Education

The administration expanded federal funding and support for:

  • Preschool programs
  • Head Start
  • Early learning initiatives
Obama frequently advocated for universal pre-kindergarten, though Congress never enacted a nationwide universal preschool program.

5. STEM Education Initiatives

The administration invested in:

  • Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education
  • Teacher training
  • Computer science programs
  • Expanding broadband internet access in schools
One goal was training 100,000 high-quality STEM teachers.

6. School Turnaround Efforts

Federal funding targeted some of the nation's lowest-performing schools through School Improvement Grants and related programs.

These efforts often included:

  • Replacing leadership
  • Restructuring schools
  • Extending instructional time
  • Intensive intervention strategies
Results were mixed and remain debated among education researchers.

Supporters vs. Critics

Supporters argue Obama's policies:

  • Helped raise graduation rates
  • Improved accountability
  • Encouraged higher academic standards
  • Expanded preschool access
  • Increased focus on disadvantaged students
Critics argue the administration:

  • Encouraged excessive standardized testing
  • Pressured states toward Common Core
  • Overemphasized teacher evaluations based on test scores
  • Increased federal influence over local education decisions
In short, Obama's biggest public-education legacy was the combination of Race to the Top, support for Common Core-era reforms, and signing the Every Student Succeeds Act, which replaced No Child Left Behind and shifted more authority back to states.

Hmmm, is that why we are seeing all of these "teachers" getting busted for sex with their students and grooming for LGBTQ+ and trans?

True, I despise those also.
Just like politicians, LEO and clergy that get busted.
They are all scum.

I completely believe it's possible for the video to be a staged interaction. You're claiming it it based on what? Do you have anything to support your assertion?
Sure

What else can a lib say when confronted with facts ?

It does not appear staged unless believe the school and teacher are fake
Oh, I believe it is REAL and that there are in FACT some teachers out there that do a disservice to the school system......absolutely.
And those teachers should be shame, fired, and charged if they commit illegal activities.

In my 42 years of teaching, I had one teacher that was said to be seducing his female track/cross country athletes. It was never proven, and the girls involved denied any such activity, even though many of us believe it happened.

Other than that, I believe that there are MANY right wing public education haters that continue to claim that things like this happen on a daily basis at every public school.

Yes, I despise this kind of talk, because it is simply not true, but it is SO POPULAR to jump on that fake talk and run down ALL public school teachers.

The fact that you admit being a public school teacher, explains a lot about your warped perception of reality and your unhinged politics.

You are proof how absolutely unhinged public school teachers are.

Proving you have no basis to respond accurately.
You got nothing. Well Done once again.

Yup, proudly taught public school mathematics classes for 42 years.
Thank you for your support.

Do you say the same about Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert, Scott Pelley?

Kimmel, Fallon and Colbert are comedians. James O'Keefe calls himself an "investigative reporter" using sting operations to expose scandals and scams. But in reality O'Keefe is faking his reports and fraudulently editing his hit pieces.

There is a vast difference between those who seek to have people arrested and charged with crimes, and those who tell jokes and skewer the elites for a living.

Scott Pelley hasn't committed fraud, and is a serious journalist who subscribes to accepted journalistic standards of verification and integrity.

Link???? I know that I'm accusing of lying on a daily basis but no one has proven that I am lying - and I provide credible links for my claims.

Having Cult morons call me a "liar" while parroting Trump's bullshit and posting nothing which refutes what I'm posting, is laughable.

O'Keefe posts one his phony bullshit videos, and you eat it up with a fork and spoon.
What's "phony" about them?
What's "bullshit"?
He catches people unawares, with their guard down, usually wanting to brag to somebody, not knowing they're being recorded.
You can question the ethics of it.
But the fact is he's caught a lot of people admitting to a lot of really bad things.
But, of course, because you're a committed Canadian Leftist, you despise him because he reveals the truth.

Prove it, liar.

Scott Pelley is guilty of ignoring tough questions to leftists while lying about those on the right.
Fact.
Tough if you don't like it. He's a fraud.

Can you, in your own words, describe what Pelley did that was so egregious?

How about insubordination? He was also cited as being biased in his reporting. That was the official reason cited by CBS. Would you keep your job if you were continuously disruptive and insubordinate to your bosses?

James O'Keefe posts another fake video on X and you believe it????? You're even dumber than you seem. O'Keefe was fired from Project Veritas because of his dishonesty and still you believe this lying piece of shit.

Why does MAGA always believe the liars? They go out of their way to raise up people who have been convicted of lying in court. FOX News, Donald Trump, Project Veritas.

If people tell you the truth, you scream "Fake News". What a complete moron you are.
When the guy has the video, there's really no way to dispute it. It's people telling on themselves. It's not O'Keefe saying it; it's THEM saying it.

Can you, in your own words, describe what Pelley did that was so egregious?
Some of the most biased reporting in the history of television.
And a pompous ass to boot.
Just watch the interviews with him after being canned. Dear God ... comparing being fired to having his wife murdered???
He's pathetic. But just signed a new contract with a new agent today. People like you will continue to suck up his leftist propaganda excitedly.
