If they can be properly investigated and then (I would hope) properly prosecuted without resorting to “turning” either on of them to be a government witness against the other, that would be wonderful.

But if not, and if one must be turned to get the other (even if the plea deal involves some unpalatable benefits for the me who flips in terms of sentencing), I would accept that as a rough form of justice.
