Jaguar sales off 98%

The decision to Go Woke has helped them less than it helped the folks at Bud Light.

Where did the libs who run that company decide that there are millions of Non-Binary sports car buyers?

Selling out to the Chinese company, Chery didn't help either. Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Co. Sounds like they are at least moving manufacturing out of China for Jaguar-Land Rover--citing plummeting sales.

Has nothing to do with any advertisment

Why this happened:

Jaguar deliberately halted production of its petrol and existing EV lines in 2024 to make way for a full relaunch as an electric-first luxury brand. They’ve not released new EV models yet, so inventory is minimal . Additionally, a bold “Reimagine” rebrand (including the “pink Type 00” concept car and a new logo) met backlash—though Jaguar contends that the sales dip is strategic, not brand-related

We'll see how well the new Jaguar Gomorrah roadster sells. Will Ru Paul be the new voice of the brand?

Context.

Jaguar’s Massive 97% Sales Collapse Is Actually Very Misleading | Carscoops

Is this a good move for them? I doubt it but it was a planned revamp of the line.

Yeah - all kinds of companies lose 98% of their sales for extended period to rebrand. Happens all the time.
Hilarious!!
HAHAHA

This isn't about go woke, they made some crappy business decisions and their recent models suck ass.

And part of their crappy business decision was a disastrous rebrand
Actually I think the reliability concerns plus the concept that looks like a bad CGI rendering is the problem.

All of it was a problem.
Whoever they hired as marketing and rebranding should be lined up and shot.
Of course this isn't JUST the horrendous ad - but the ad was what initially started what may be one of the worst rebranding since "New Coke"

Now, back in the day the E Type was THE car to have.

In my book as far as Jags are concerned, it may still be.
On can argue the twitchiness of the V-12s, but it was a justifiable complexity in exchange for EV like power and smoothness, combined with sublime looks.

Jaguar stopped producing ICE cars, as a matter of policy. Apparently, ownership decided to roll the dice on EV's. The bottom line won't be known for at least another year.

FWIW, Jaguar has made fabulous, beautiful cars over the years. Give them a chance.

If they did a Modernized version of Steve McQueens XKK convertible from the 1960s it would make them billions

The V12 wasn't a very good engine, but that inline 6 is a fantastic engine.

If they did a modernized XJ13 for the street would be even better.
