A judge granted Special Counsel Jack Smith's request Monday to drop all charges against President-elect Trump in the federal case over his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Why it matters: Smith has already taken steps to wind down the two federal cases against Trump that he's overseeing after the president-elect became the first convicted felon to win the White House.

I know, i know, there are several other links talking about this, but not what i am about to say. Jack Smith is in a whole heap of trouble, because he did "Attempt to interfere" in the 2024 election. Pam Bondi the new AG should bring Jack in under oath, offer a plea deal to squeal on the higher ups that talked Jack into taking the case. I am sure there are plenty of Democrats that are tied to the attempted injustice against President Trump. Time to see who really is "not above the law".

I think Bondi should bring cases against Merchan, Bragg, and and Lucretia for the same.

As far as the 4th case - the one where the prosecutor hired her lover at the highest rate ever paid - not sure about that one. She should certainly step down for ethics violations.

AG Bondi should bring a case against Jack Smith for election interference

If Jack Smith runs for President, those charges will be dropped

Yes please.

Charge Special Counsel Smith for doing his job.

That way he gets to present tons and TONS of evidence in open court showing his charges were justified.

Please indict him.

Certainly Bondi could legitimately bring charges against those utilizing lawfare/weaponization of government against a political opponent. But I'm pretty sure Trump will strongly discourage her from doing that as his intent is to end lawfare and weaponization of government against political opponents or any other citizens who have not committed actual crimes. Being magnanimous toward those who unlawfully persecuted him would set a far better tone and example than giving them what they deserve.

I look for him and the GOP to push for some sort of legislation to deal with that to make it much more difficult for a future rogue administration to do that.

I think it's more important to go after the corruption in the New York "Justice System". Judges Merchan and Engoron, Alvin Bragg and Letitia James should be investigated for their obvious abuse of power and judicial misconduct.

That cowardly **** will flee the country, but Trump's marshals need to drag it back here to face years of prosecution and incarceration.

His dying thought should be "I get it now, prison sex is not necessarily consensual"...

jack smith suck dick.webp

What about the $500 million (reduced, I know, but not sure to what) that Trump had to pay as a fine? That should be returned immediately, with interest, and the interest should be paid by Leticia.

It isnt weaponizing the government to go after REAL criminals that followed Stalin like Lawfare. Bring justice to those that did the wrong, give them 30 years to life, and see if they want to continue playing the game that Democrats always do.

That’s for stuff during one’s presidency. He is still liable.
Jack Smith should declare for the 2028 Presidency right now

It worked for Trump

No, Smith charged him for something he did in his role as president. Smith committed election interference and malicious prosecution as a private citizen.

Trump delayed the procedings because he was running for President
Smith can do the same

I know it is tempting for those who have done so much evil to receive their comeuppance. There's a part of me that wants that too. But I also understand that if government weaponization against opposition is to be stopped, it has to stop with somebody. I think he has chosen for it to stop with him. And I hope there are plans to codify it into law to make it far more difficult for any future administration to do it.

He can’t run for president for at least two years. Plenty of time to charge him, hold a trial, get a conviction, and put him in prison. Where he belongs.

That's a civil action. Trump's election has no impact on that.
