If you had watched the hearing today you would have seen that they were in direct contact with Hillary Clinton the night of the attack and they told her it was an attack.
They knew right from the start it was an attack and not a protest started by a video.

I cannot, or will not think of clever insults, but the facts remain, a State Department official did send out an email to the Libyan president telling him that it was a terror attack right after the attack but the president did not call it an isolated terror attack after it happened. The administration continued to blame the video for weeks.
