It's started

Last month, I paid $35 for my prescription from Canada. This month, it's jumped to $59—a staggering 68% increase. I was also considering a high-quality 50-foot garden hose at Home Depot. A couple of months ago, it was $44. Today, it's $55—up 25%. I expected some price increases, maybe around 15%, but this is beyond unreasonable.

Meanwhile, 12.9 million Americans work in manufacturing, making up just 9.6% of the total U.S. workforce. That means the other 90% of us are left to bear the burden of rising costs, with no real evidence that tariffs will revive American manufacturing jobs. So, who really benefits?
If you are worried, stock up now. Things will level out when all these countries get down on their knees and do what President Trump wants. :)

If Canada was a friend, they wouldn't have huge tariffs on American goods.

Democrats need to sell sell sell before it's to late.
That is more fiction than fact. While Trump is correct that there is a 200% tariff on imported dairy products, what Trump is not telling you is the 200% applies only after Canada's imports exceeds the tariff free limit which Canada has never come close to exceeding and probably never will. Just another Trump lie.

How can they do that when Trump doesn't know what he wants.

You get that it's the 4th and the tariffs didn't kick in until the day before yesterday, right?
Prices often start rising before the tariffs actually kick in. Most retailers do not like to make big price jumps so they start early and make several smaller price increases. The public is more likely to remember one big price jump than a number of small ones.

If Canada was a friend, they wouldn't have tariffs on America in the first place.

Do you support Canada tariffs on America?

How much aid does America give Canada?
95% of all good from Canada are free from tariffs. The 200 billion that Trump claims Americans are playing is actually 35 billion in 2024 and both countries have agreed to phase out all tariffs. However that is not likely to happen due to Trump's trade war.

Why shouldn't he. Destroying America is the first step in MAGA.
“Destroying America”….WTF?
Is MAGA begging tens of millions of dark people to invade our nation?
Is MAGA pretending chicks with dicks and faggots are good for a society?
Is MAGA forcing people to believe that blacks are America’s greatest asset?

Sounds like tariffs are not the ONLY reason for the increases.

Perhaps it's time you began buying from an AMERICAN pharmacy again?

We are not suffering through this on behalf of the Ten Percent.

We are suffering through this in a long-overdue attempt to reestablish American Self-Sufficiency in a manufacturing context.

We are at-present frightfully dependent upon foreign governments who oftentimes do not have our best interests at-heart.

That needs to change.

What we are experiencing now is an attempt to make that very change.

Elevating the Ten Percent and making it our Twenty Percent, instead, and reestablishing Self-Sufficiency, is the hoped-for outcome.

Will that materialize? TBD. Stay tuned to your favorite news outlet for the answer. Same Bat Time. Same Bat Channel.

Trump is going to give America the biggest finance collapse since The Great Depression.

Watch...
It has already started with a 4,000 point drop in Dow since Trump became president. 2200 just today.

Poor baby. I guess you will have to get a second job or start cheating on your food stamp deposit to stretch your money farther.

Serves you right from getting your meds out of Canada.

They probably spit on the pills before sending them anyway.

Abandon ship! Going down fast!

I guess you like having 37 trillion in debt and thought it could be dealt with easily.

I suspect companies will try to fleece the rubes (never let a crisis go to waste) but it will even out by and by.

If the difference in the price of a garden hose (seasonal item) causes you to clutch your pearls, you need to reevaluate.

Indeed even the pearls have become more expensive....lol

Trump's desire for a global trade war has spread throughout the world. I was looking at a list of drugs from the Canadian pharmacy I buy from. Drug after drug from India, Turkey, Germany, and the UK are all backordered. It is not just a trade war between US and it's trading partners. Cross tariffs between other countries are increasing. The problem is businesses all over the world are unable to determine there cost with new tariffs appearing daily. I think we are going to start seeing shortages developing very soon.

donny has over 30,000 documented lies, so of course it's gonna look like technicolor vomit.
That is one of the problems. When there is a worldwide crisis developing, the World turns to American and it's leader and what do they hear?

When Trump says a 25% tariff, most people assume that an item selling for $100 will become $125, not so.

When items go through customs, the custom's agent figures the Customs Value which is the retail invoice cost assume $100 + insurance and shipping, assume $10+ the exporter fee, say another $10 so the Custom value is $120. making the custom fee at 25% or $30. With a wholesaler markup of 15%, the fee is now 34.50. The average retail markup is 40%. Thus the fee increases from 34.50 to 48.30. The retail cost will be $100 + 48.30 or $148.30. So that 25% tariff becomes 48.30 to the retail customer or an increase in retail price of 48.3%. Hopefully retailers will absorb part of the increase, but I wouldn't count on it.
I'll buy that for necessities, but for non-necessities. Consumers will not buy the products unless the suppliers or the importers eat at least some of the increase. Many foreign suppliers cannot stay in business without the US consumer and will be forced to eat some or all of the increase. The US is in a position of strength unlike most other countries due to the buying power of our consumers, which far exceeds that of most other countries.

You are gonna die. Trump is literally killing you. Now, your only hope left for life is if all other countries drop their tariffs to zero and start trading fairly. Trump is a genius.

Dark people were living here before whites floated over here. MAGA is destroying the country.
