Find me a person who doesn't have a driver's license, a SS card, or some other form of government ID, and I'll show you a person who cannot get government benefits, rend a car, get healthcare, do anything. And we all know the only people even likely not to have no ID is some rare poor schmuck on benefits, welfare, so we know he has the ID. And Gov. ID is fast, easy and FREE. So it all comes back to the millions upon millions of people who have ID to vote, but aren't eligible, legal citizens! And we all know Jerry Brown can't give away IDs fast enough to anything on two legs.

You just provided a link which shows gerrymandering benefited the House. You did not provide one which shows gerrymandering increased Trump's electoral votes.

I don't think you understand how the electoral college process works.

The number of a States districts = the number of a State's electoral votes. If you win the districts' popular vote, you win that districts' electoral vote. In some States, if you win the majority of districts, you get all the States' electoral votes. In other States, they divvy it up to both candidates.

Now this is where it gets messy. Due to hyper-partisan, right-wing gerrymandering, you have a situation where a sparsely populated, mostly republican, rural district, has the same electoral vote as a densely populated, mostly democrat, urban district.

So Trump wins these electoral votes in States, with a minority of the popular vote. Whereas is a non-partisan, gerrymandered State, more electoral votes would be allocated to the more densely populated urban areas. Thus giving more electoral votes to the democratic candidate. And that would've made Hillary the President.

48 states are "winner-take-all" states. Whoever gets the majority of votes in that state wins all the electoral votes for that state. So no amount of district gerrymandering can rig who wins the electoral votes for those 48 states.

Maine and Nebraska are the only two states which are not winner-take-all.

Maine awards one electoral vote to whoever wins the majority of votes, and then the remaining two votes are awarded to whoever wins the popular vote in each of its congressional districts. And Maine is definitely not rigged in the Republicans' favor.

Nebraska awards its five electoral votes the same way Maine does. One for the statewide winner, and one for each of the four districts. Nebraska is a deep red state.

Trump won the election by 74 electoral votes.

Okay, you're right about the Presidential race. I was wrong. But the make up of the House, is a far different thing. Republicans would not have a majority in the House, if it wasn't for this hyper-partisan gerrymandering. Normally, you would have more democrat representatives in a State, due to the more populated urban areas. But what we have in some of these States, we have an equal number of red districts (sometimes more), with less voters, as we do blue districts, with more voters. Areas with more voters, should have more districts.

You should not have a red state, where the majority of voters are blue.
