It's Official: Bukele will NOT Release El Salvadoran Citizen Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the United States

Am I missing something here?

This guy is a Salvadorian citizen, right? WTF should the President of El Salvador give a shit what the SCOTUS says about one of his citizens currently in his country? El Salvador gets to run their country the way they see fit not how we want them to run it.
He’s doing it because he’s getting paid, not because of sny sovereignty issues. That’s a MAGA lie. If Trump said to bring him back, he’d be back. El Salvador wants the money. They’re not incarcerating Venezuelans for us out of the goodness of their hearts.

I’m just hoping for a Proof if Life at this point, for the sake of his families. Fears are that he’s already dead.

"How can I return him to the United States? I smuggle him into the United States? Of course I'm not going to do it. The question is preposterous," Bukele said. "I don't have the power to return him to the United States. We're not very fond of releasing terrorists into our country.

"To liberate 350 million people, you have to imprison some. That's the way it works,” Bukele told Trump.

Imprison some and also kill some. That's because for every hundred people who yearn for freedom, there is one who wants to take away that freedom through violence and greed. Should the one hundreds submit to the ones, because the ones don't shrink from violence and the hundreds are not willing to do what has to be done to stop them?

It reminds me of something that happened in my early years of teaching. I showed a social studies class a video of a movie about George Washington crossing the Delaware. The one with Jeff Daniels as Washington. In a scene in which Hamilton entered a farmhouse with Hessian mercenaries, some blood spattered on the wall. Some of my students were shocked, and I had not expected that.

I told them, "look, I wish you hadn't seen that. But you should know this: Alexander Hamilton founded a great banking system that was instrumental in the United States turning from an agrarian country with little influence to the most powerful nation in the world. But before he could do that . . . he had to straight up toe-tag some people."

“"To liberate 350 million people, you have to imprison some. That's the way it works,” Bukele told Trump.
I also don’t believe for a moment that if the President of the United States, who is PAYING El Salvador to imprison these people, asks for his return he will be refused.

This goes well beyond willful cruelty. It’s evil.

Obviously so.

It’s inconceivable for the President of a country of six million people to refuse a request by the President of the United States. Especially since the United States admitted publicly that he was snatched off the street and railroaded by mistake.

The man is dead. This is a shameless attempt to cover it up.

it is also part and parcel to Trump’s overall scheme of placing himself above the Supreme Court.

Proof may come, but most likely in the form of a corpse.

In accordance with two judges, the perp has already been deported. The perp does not face criminal charges at this time as all court orders have been fulfilled.

Perp?

he has never been charged with a crime in any country.

Why would El Salvador send one of its citizens back to a country where they are accused of illegally immigrating to in order to get a hearing on whether they will be deported back to ElSalvador?

Why is he in prison (if even alive) in El Salvador? he has not been charged with any crime.

I do not. However, when it comes to police matters, most people don't.
The extent of the evidence is a confidential informant from 6 years ago who accused him of being in a gang in a state he’s never lived in.

Oh, and he was wearing a Chicago Bulls hat.

That’s it.

It doesn’t seem possible for El Salvador to investigate this.

OK, when we deported gang members before, did they take our word for it?

And why this guy? Do you really believe the US has it in for him somehow? For what?

It’s all pretty new but it absolutely appears that if Trump says someone is in a gang, Bukele considers it fact.

Talk to El Salvador. You are aware that we dont get to tell other countries how to run their justice systems right?

Time for a simple ass judge here to declare him in contempt
Since they feel they have authority over POTUS then the same is true for Presidents of other Nations

But that's a lie. El Salvador has an extradition treaty with the US, signed in 1911 and amended in 2000. It allows for El Salvadorian nationals to be extradited back to the US if they face criminal charges.

It's also difficult to believe that Trump couldn't just ask El Salvador to return this prisoner. He's PAYING them. If they refused, he could just stop paying them, like he does to everyone else he does business with.
