They were protesters that got snookered into various trumped up charges.
The ones that were guilty of actual crimes (for the most part) were paid informants working for the FBI.

Paid to see him in concert in Hawaii in 76'.
He sucked royally.

Frampton was a total let-down.
I liked Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Earth Wind & Fire, Isley Brothers, War, Elton John, Bee Gees, Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Cat Stevens, America, Yes, ZZTop, ELO, Boston, Fleetwood Mac, Beach Boys, Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Queen, Aerosmith, anything that sounded good at the time.
