It is amazing how a simple red hat triggers the left. I wore a red ball cap with white lettering last summer for a while. I was surprised at the responses. It was not a political hat nor advertising a business--just a simple hat that commemorated a camping trip with a non-profit charity. LOL, I've never gotten that much attention due to a hat.

Looks like I'm not the only one. I was wearing my red cap with a white Fender logo playing electric blues on my red Fender Telecaster and got called a fascist.

You don't go solo....so you can learn the notes thru practice and listening to others.
Once you hear the song the first time....all you need is to read the words and sing it.
Not everyone knows the difference between a whole note and a quarter note.
This is an example of a simple song that you can read and figure out what it sounds like just from looking at the sheet music:

You already know what the song sounds like. Just sing the words.

You can see from the score that it's in Treble Clef, Four Four time.....and the first six notes are all quarter notes followed by a half note.

The time signature tells us how many notes per measure.
Four Four time is 1,2,3,4....1,2,3,4....1,2,3,4...1,23,4 and so-on.
Three Four time is a waltz or 1,2,3..1,2,3..1,2,3..1,2,3 and so-on.
Two Four time is 1,2..1,2..1,2..1,2 and so-on.
