The people are divided, but the politicians in our federal government aren’t. As proof, what did the Ds oppose during Trump’s four years? Just about nothing. They voted to increase the war budget enormously, while claiming Trump was a danger to all mankind. They voted for the CARES Act that threw pennies at the people, but trillions at the wealthy. They are in agreement that the people aren’t going to get universal HC, no UBI, no end to the Empire’s wars, and continued massive giveaways to the wealthy.The US government has become deadlocked in bitter partisanship and is failing to provide for the needs of the people, which is the primary purpose of government.This isn’t partisan since those of us with rudimentary knowledge, know the two major crime families are working in tandem. So, what does this say about the level of intelligence held by D and R partisans? Not much...lol.

Government's role is one of "housekeeping" - keeping the national household provisioned, and running well so that everyone can get about their business and get shit done. If you grew up in a well run household, the roof didn't leak, the fridge was always full, the utilities weren't getting cut off, and you have clean clothes in the closet, so you could get up, eat breakfast, and head out into the world ready for work, school.
The current iteration of the US government is not running the household well at all. They're too busy fighting with one another, and asking the kids to take sides. They're spending all of the household money on good times with their rich friends, and the infrastructure is falling apart. The fridge is empty and the house is falling apart. Parts of the country are having issues getting electricity, and millions are lining up in food banks.
It's long past time for Americans to stop demonizing the other side and get both of your oars in the water and rowing in the same direction. You've been going in circles since Clinton was elected and Republicans spent 6 1/2 years pursuing his impeachment.
