It took a while, but we've finally arrived.

No, it isn’t – it’s another Trump lie.

And this is just the beginning – Trump will continue to ignore court rulings, including the Supreme Court.
Pardon my ignorance as a foreigner, but who is "bigger" in your country, the president, or the Justices?

And Trump Cult members will likewise do nothing to oppose the fascist Trump regime; indeed, they approve of Trump’s despotic authoritarianism.
I'm not able to discern whether trump voters, those that remain loyal, actually desire autocratic, unconstitutional rule..............or they are too prideful to admit every vile thing we Dem's said would happen during trump 2.0 is happening.

Same here. I gotta think for most of them it’s the latter . Some have zero respect for rule of law and democracy but in the end, it makes no difference

It's time for them to make up their minds as to whether they want the kind of authoritarian government trump is working so hard to establish, or not. There is no middle ground here. The decision is binary. I'm not optimistic.

The Trump administration’s compliance with court orders started with foot-dragging, moved to semantic gymnastics and has now arrived at the cusp of outright defiance.

Large swaths of President Trump’s agenda have been tied up in court, challenged in scores of lawsuits. The administration has frozen money that the courts have ordered it to spend. It has blocked The Associated Press from the White House press pool despite a court order saying that the news organization be allowed to participate. And it ignored a judge’s instruction to return planes carrying Venezuelan immigrants bound for a notorious prison in El Salvador.

But Exhibit A in what legal scholars say is a deeply worrisome and escalating trend is the administration’s combative response to the Supreme Court’s ruling last week in the case of a Salvadoran immigrant. The administration deported the immigrant, Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, to El Salvador despite a 2019 ruling from an immigration judge specifically and directly prohibiting that very thing.
Until recently, none of this was in dispute. “The United States acknowledges that Abrego Garcia was subject to a withholding order forbidding his removal to El Salvador, and that the removal to El Salvador was therefore illegal,” the Supreme Court said on Thursday in an unsigned and to all appearances unanimous order.

I think the debate is over.
Yeah, here we are.

But he's saving America from Satan and/or the commies 'n stuff. The flock couldn't care less how he does it. The Constitution and our entire institutional infrastructure are nothing more than speedbumps now.

There's been a debate for a while now as to whether we are in a constitutional crisis. trump has previously defied lower court orders, tried to expand presidential powers past their legal limits, and weaponized the DoJ beyond recognition.

I think the debate is over.

Despite SCOTUS Ruling, Trump Admin Refuses to Return Man It Wrongly Sent to Salvadoran Prison

The Trump administration said Monday the U.S. government will not return a Maryland resident it erroneously sent to a hard labor prison in El Salvador.

The refusal comes despite the Supreme Court unanimously upholding a lower-court ruling ordering it to “facilitate” the man’s return to the U.S. It’s the latest and perhaps most troubling example of the Trump administration undermining the rule of law by appearing to flatly defy judicial orders.

President Donald Trump last month invoked the Alien Enemies Act (AEA), an 18th-century wartime law, to transfer the man, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and hundreds of other people to El Salvador.

In a meeting with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele Monday, Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed that the U.S. could not order El Salvador to return Abrego GarcĂa.

White House aide Stephen Miller said bringing Abrego García back would constitute “kidnapping” and an “invasion of El Salvador’s sovereignty” and also falsely stated that the Supreme Court had ruled in the Trump administration’s favor.

I believe there is a hearing scheduled for tomorrow in the appeals court that initially made the "effectuate" ruling, instructing the regime to bring Garcia back to the US. I suppose that means the door is still not entirely shut for the regime. It may decide it needs to comply with the appeals court's order as well as the SC's. But maybe not. What happens if it decides not to comply.........I'm actually not sure.

This may be the moment JD Vance spoke about when he said, to paraphrase, "the courts can rule any way they want, let's see them enforce their ruling." If trump does not relent this may be his undoing. It can't come soon enough.

It goes without saying this............

Trump administration says it lacks authority to get Abrego Garcia back from El Salvador

........is not true.
trump is a dictator wannabe. The first term was a Pilot and a learning experience for the man. Now he is intent on becoming a dictator.

To the great detriment of the country, The Following did not learn the lesson trump taught them about his lack of character when he tried to steal the 2020 election.

None of you libtard commies should ever raise the topic of learning lessons.
