It took a while, but we've finally arrived.

Did you whine, cry, throw a temper tantrum when Biden ignored SCOTUS on student loans?

Nope
So we’re supposed be upset about college kids getting student loan forgiveness, but be A-OK with people being abducted off the street and sent to a foreign prison camp with no due process? WTF?

There's been a debate for a while now as to whether we are in a constitutional crisis. trump has previously defied lower court orders, tried to expand presidential powers past their legal limits, and weaponized the DoJ beyond recognition.

I think the debate is over.

Despite SCOTUS Ruling, Trump Admin Refuses to Return Man It Wrongly Sent to Salvadoran Prison

The Trump administration said Monday the U.S. government will not return a Maryland resident it erroneously sent to a hard labor prison in El Salvador.

The refusal comes despite the Supreme Court unanimously upholding a lower-court ruling ordering it to “facilitate” the man’s return to the U.S. It’s the latest and perhaps most troubling example of the Trump administration undermining the rule of law by appearing to flatly defy judicial orders.

President Donald Trump last month invoked the Alien Enemies Act (AEA), an 18th-century wartime law, to transfer the man, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and hundreds of other people to El Salvador.

In a meeting with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele Monday, Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed that the U.S. could not order El Salvador to return Abrego GarcĂa.

White House aide Stephen Miller said bringing Abrego García back would constitute “kidnapping” and an “invasion of El Salvador’s sovereignty” and also falsely stated that the Supreme Court had ruled in the Trump administration’s favor.

I believe there is a hearing scheduled for tomorrow in the appeals court that initially made the "effectuate" ruling, instructing the regime to bring Garcia back to the US. I suppose that means the door is still not entirely shut for the regime. It may decide it needs to comply with the appeals court's order as well as the SC's. But maybe not. What happens if it decides not to comply.........I'm actually not sure.

This may be the moment JD Vance spoke about when he said, to paraphrase, "the courts can rule any way they want, let's see them enforce their ruling." If trump does not relent this may be his undoing. It can't come soon enough.

It goes without saying this............

Trump administration says it lacks authority to get Abrego Garcia back from El Salvador

........is not true.
That's fake news. El Salvador aint given him back, and it's the Trump admins. "understanding" they had to allow for the return, no go and get him while the El Salvador President says it's not happening.

Aint that cute, BERG feel so bad for gang members. TDS + Gang Supporter = DaBergMeister.

If that is right the Court must act. Because their response is limited it may be up to the POT to act. I have zero faith in its collective willingness to stand up to Dear Leader unless public opinion demands it. Therefore, due to The Following, I'm not optimistic.
The Court isn’t going to act – it’s as useless as Congressional Republicans.

The only hope is for the District courts to act by finding lower-level Trump officials in contempt subject to fines and imprisonment – faced with both, such officials might feel compelled to refuse to execute Trump’s unlawful, illegal orders.

But you’re correct to not be optimistic.

You promote and exist through violence for your party. None of the Prog politicians have stood up to say enough with your disgusting destruction of people and properties.

No, it isn’t – it’s another Trump lie.

And this is just the beginning – Trump will continue to ignore court rulings, including the Supreme Court.

As the fascist Trump regime becomes stronger and more bold in its authoritarianism, Congressional Republican cowards will continue to refuse to take action.

El Salvador President Nayib Bukele told reporters during a meeting with President Donald Trump on Monday that he wouldn't return a man the Justice Department said it had mistakenly deported to his country.

"How can I return him to the United States? Like if I smuggle him into the United States?" Bukele said, sitting beside Trump in the Oval Office, when he was asked whether he’d return Kilmar Abrego Garcia. "Of course I'm not going to do it. The question is preposterous."

Asked whether he’d be released in his own country, he said, “We’re not very fond of releasing terrorists.”

Interesting...so when the Biden Administration ignored the courts over the border...THAT wasn't a "constitutional crisis" but when the Trump Administration does...it is? And you wonder why nobody is taking the left seriously anymore!

I'm sure it comes as no surprise that autocratic rulers also tend to ignore judicial rulings when they don't like the ruling.

And Trump Cult members will likewise do nothing to oppose the fascist Trump regime; indeed, they approve of Trump’s despotic authoritarianism.

So Judges run the Government per what you say here.

Presidents SHOULD ignore the rulings of local activist judges on issues involving the entire country! Otherwise the tail wags the dog and we'll be locked in never ending litigation of every administration.

The Founders said the Supreme Court was the weakest of the three branches.

Why do you hate the Founding Fathers?

Why are you a judicial fascist?

Is he a fucking moron? He just has to let him out of his gulag, which he could easily do because he’s a dictator who imprisons people without due process and releases them whenever he feels like it.

This is open defiance of the Supreme Court. I don't care if you think it's justified, not how, not why. If you want to have room to claim their rulings have weight when they agree with you, then you have to be concerned when a sitting president disobeys their directives. Rulings by SCOTUS are usually sacrosanct when they agree with one side or another. They complain, they argue, but never do they urge open defiance of them. Only the extremes do that. Only the extremes suggest packing the court to get their way or whatnot. Normal people have respect for the rule of law.
