Nobody can delegate this to anyone. It is reserved for the President to use, and nobody else.

Cite Autopen in the Constitution, skippy.

Since it is unconstitutional for anyone other than the President to use the auto pen, anyone else who does should be prosecuted, and anything they illegally sign is null and void.

Those Dems are sticklers to the Constitution!

The autopen was used repeatedly without his knowledge.

The autopen by anyone should be nuked.

Are you kidding? It's exactly what you do every time you see something you disagree with.

Does that mean you think you are weak?

Well, cookies aside, which did not allow me to read the article, I disagree. A president should be able to delegate use of the autopen to someone if and when needed, to sign stuff for him ON HIS REQUEST AND APPROVAL just so long as there is a record kept of that authorization for each and everytime it is done.

THAT SAID, use of the autopen ought to involve a very small minority of the times a president needs to sign stuff, like maybe 0.1% of the time like when he is far out of the country and something needs signed immediately, not the 99.9% of the time used like in Biden's case.

And for every document autopenned, at some point, the president should still need to apply his own personal signature, initials or seal to formalize that he is aware the autopen was used and he authorized it.
