"Israel on Friday staged what it said was a planned test of a rocket propulsion system at a military base on the Mediterranean coast.

Israeli media, citing analysts, said the test appeared to be of a version of the Jericho ballistic missile with a range of at least 5,000 kilometers (3,100 miles)

Israel is widely considered to be the Middle East’s sole if undeclared nuclear power with an estimated arsenal of 200 warheads."

World War 3 coming up?

Who is Israel going to nuke exactly?

And contrary to this misleading title by both you and Gannett, this is not testing a "rocket system", it is testing an engine.

I see this really as nothing but hype and fear mongering, and of no real interest, either in a new or in a military sense.

"Amazing news! The Air Force tests a plane!"

Israel’s Jericho ground-to-ground missile is believed to be capable of carrying a nuclear, chemical or biological warhead.

That there alone told me this was nothing but coprolite. Guess what, artillery can also fire a "nuclear, chemical or biological" warhead as well, but you don't see such statements made every time somebody tests a new artillery piece, do you?

Learn to distinguish from real news, and simple propaganda pieces.

A "rocket propulsion system" is an euphemism for Ballistic missile.

OK, now you really need to learn how to vette your sources here, because you are now posting 2 very different stories. The first talked about an engine test along the Mediterranean Coast, now you are talking about an actual launch from Central Israel.

Now which one is true? Because they can't both be true.

However, even your second article says nothing but a test of the propulsion unit.

Israel on Friday staged what it said was a planned test of a rocket propulsion system at a military base on the Mediterranean coast.

That is from your own source my friend. And it does not matter if the rocket is for a ballistic missile or a sled, it is still not a "missile system", it is a single component. That is like taking the S-IC module of the Saturn V and calling it a "Moon Rocket". No, actually it is just one part of the rocket.
