I just don't understand why Hamas wants to keep hostages and why Qatar hasn't been able to negotiate a settlement by now.

. All the hostages set free by Hamas, the terrorist organisation. The hostages who are still alive, and the ones who unfortunately are deceased.
. Hamas banished from Gaza, never allowed to return. Every tunnel/rabbit hole in Gaza filled in...every gun and missile destroyed.
. Ideally the population of Gaza would be relocated to other countries in the region...into separate communities, everything they'd need provide.
. Gaza then flattened, all the rubble removed, and a new Palestine built....free from terrorists. All overseen by a fully armed military coalition of multiple countries...all UN approved.
