Israel demolishes West Bank homes, displacing 36 Palestinians

Quote
Jerusalem (AFP) - Israeli forces demolished dozens of structures including a school in the northern West Bank this week, leaving 10 families homeless, the UN said on Friday.

The demolitions took place on Wednesday in the village of Khirbet Tana, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

In total, 41 structures were destroyed, displacing 36 Palestinians including 11 children, the UN's humanitarian body said in a statement.

COGAT, the defence ministry body responsible for coordinating Israeli government activity in the Palestinian territories, put the number of structures at 20.

It said demolition orders were issued in advance.

Just like anywhere else if you build a home without a permit its likely to end up getting bulldozed

If someone tried to build a home on park land, construction site, military base or someone elses land it would be the same.
Homeless that set up cardboard boxes or tents get kicked off and forced to move.
If you tried to build without permits, substandard or not to zones and code it would be torn down.

With a lot less glee and satisfaction

I don't think anyone is all that happy about the situation in the middle east. Its just that some prefer to focus on the minor stuff going on in Israel rather than the wild injustices going on elsewhere. Say chlorine bombs being dropped on civilians in Syria, or the thousands dead each month in Iraq.

This is a duplicate of the case discussed on one of the other threads. The same principles apply.

The Palestinians deem it to be "Palestinian land" for no reason other than they think it should be "Palestinian land". This is the outskirts of the town of Beit Furik. The land is not privately owned. It is most certainly not owned by the people who put up shacks and decide they want to live there.

And it is Area C -- under full Israeli control, both civil and security.

You don't get to just walk onto property which is owned by someone else and put up a house there and claim ownership, let alone sovereignty. Doesn't happen in the US, in Canada, in Europe or anywhere else in the world.

The idea that I am ENTITLED to walk onto Crown land and decide this is my land, and my farm, and my home is RIDICULOUS. The civilized world just does not work that way.

Imagine someone building a home next door that does not have proper water or sewage, that is not hooked up to the local electric, but running wire loose from across the street or over two street, that does not use proper material and does not fit the look in the area but is a sore thumb to the neighborhood.
Imagine they liked the view from your back yard and built on your land without paying your buying the land from you.
If you had someone work for you to re-roof and decided they were going to set up and live with you.

They don't control the land. don't have ownership or pay taxes on the land, don't fit to code or zoning,or is an eye sore.

Most people in the US know they can't park on the lawn or pain a home neon in some areas. They have to notify neighbors if they have a party and have to end it by a set time. Some place you can't even plant a tree or certain landscaping. Many place won't let you dry your clothes out side, unless that has been some disaster or flood. Can't park your car outside or leave garbage cans out past a set time.

Unless they show up with deed, surveys, proper blue prints, approved permits, proper material, licensed contractor and regular building inspection.................. you don't build!

Why should it be different in Israel or land they have full control of?

I'm trying to imply that in the morning of September 11 2001, the creation of the state of Israel with its 53 years of house, village and town demolitions, became an even bigger mistake than it already was.

You seem confused.

9/11 was a classic false flag operation. A ruse to manipulate the people into a particular position that would allow the powers that be to pursue a policy they would not have normally be supported in pursuing.

But thats got nothing to do with the Israeli / Arab Muslim conflict.

And this thread is concerning Israel demolishing buildings built without permits

So whats that got to do with 9/11

Information left out: Arab Israeli's and Palestinians are rarely granted permits. One of those silly little inequities.

Yes - I've given it before in other threads, so I'm not going to repeat myself again. It's a simple google.

Why would Arab Muslims be granted any privileges in Israel when they are literally evicted from Arab Muslim countries and have ZERO privileges ?

Kinda a double standard again

Maybe because they are Israeli citizens...speaking of double standards.
