But they each know where the other stands on key issues; as well as, the extent of acceptable (unspoken) Rules of Engagement. Each operates in the murky landscape of the Asymmetric Warfare tactics of pre-modern times; negating the advantages of weapons and tactics associated with the 21st Century.

Both the Jewish State and the Islamic Republic test each other to make sure that one state does not have a tactical or strategic advantage over the other.

First of all, we should admit that it was after American influence they became the centers of instability and migrant crises. Before this, their dictators kept them in check effectively. So, I dont think that Iran (which is a combination of these three in population) being turned into another shithole is a good idea.

Who should be considered as Islamists? The Saudi dynasty is Islamists? Nonetheless, they are considered American allies.

Secondly. The mullahs regime has a useful role - the role of bogeyman. Their existence can give a birth to anti-Iranian alliance in the ME. The one which will comprise not only some Arabs countries, but also and Israel. This, on its turn, can resolve 'Palestinian' issues.

While I'm sure that there are probably a significant number of people who agree (including myself in moments of strong emotions), we know that the use of force (or even the threat to use force) is counterproductive to developing workable solutions.
