Isn't unrefined crude perfectly natural?

Crude oil and natural gas naturally enter the ocean at areas known as "seeps."

These hydrocarbons leak out of the ground through fractures and sediments, in the same way freshwater springs bring water to the surface.

How Much Do Seeps Leak?

A 2003 report from the National Research Council estimates that, on average, approximately 160,000 tonnes of petroleum enter North American waters through natural seeps each year.

The waters off southern California are one area in particular which host hundreds of known, naturally occurring oil and gas seeps. These seeps contribute about 5 million gallons of oil to the ocean annually, with wide year to year variation.

Remember when all of that oil that spilled in the Gulf for months in 2010 was suppose to destroy the planet?

Remember that? People believed the news and hype so much that some killed themselves.

Sigh...

Liberals..

California's Pismo Beach is the Chumash Indian name for the tar balls that washed ashore from offshore seeps. They used it as caulking to seal their boats they sailed out to the channel islands. There were natural oil seeps throughout California, the most famous being The La Brea Tarpits.

Pneumonia is perfectly natural.

Without those natural seeps -- your "accelerated, runaway" GW would never occur. You're on the team cheering them on actually. Aren't you?

They also contribute CO2 and methane to the atmos -- that is VIRTUALLY indistinguishable from human emissions. They date approx the same..

Only reasonable thing to do -- tax the oceans and redistribute the results to the victims..
