That was excellent. Btw I haven't seen that textured soya protein here where I live. But that reminded me of when I was in Mexico. My roommate sometimes bought that and she made ceviche out of it, and it was SO flippin good. It tasted the same and had the same texture as "regular" ceviche, because the flavor is in the seasoning and all the other ingredients. I should try to find that .... maybe in a Latin market, and recreate that ceviche. 😋

I've never had it -- vegan or "normal". Is the real stuff even safe (parasites)?

Wow... hmmm...maybe it's more popular near the ocean. But anyway, as for it being safe, I haven't had "normal" ceviche in a long time, so I don't know if it is now. (Even if I wasn't vegan, I probably wouldn't eat seafood these days for other reasons.) But I think it probably depends on where one gets it. I mean, if it's good quality seafood, it probably depends on the restaurant.

But anyway, no need to worry about that now, haha.
