Is this really what you voted for?

The Democrats want socialized medicine, in one form or another. The best they could do was O'Care, which went a couple of steps in. If they ever were to say "socialized medicine" out loud and put it up for a vote, it would be roundly defeated, which is why only cranks like Bernie Sanders say it.

But the basic truth is that Congress has no power to spend our tax dollars on healthcare (or housing, or food, or...you get the idea). Their "powers" are laid out in Article I, Section 8, and there is not even a hint that they can fund healthcare or partially fund healthcare, as is the current mode.

I challenge anyone reading this to find where Congress gets this power...and anyone using the words "general welfare," go to the back of the class and put on the dunce cap.

Healthcare is up to the States and the private sector. See the Tenth Amendment.

It's a question that could be asked about a variety of issues from the unjustified presence of troops on US city streets, to crypto currency profiteering, to pardons of J6 violent criminals, the examples are too numerous to list. Here's one pertaining to the shutdown.

These 6 Charts Explain Why Democrats Shut Down the Government

All the political skirmishing around the looming government shutdown has obscured the critical reason for it in the first place: Republicans have essentially stopped saying they want to repeal Obamacare, but quietly, they are doing exactly that.

Over the past nine months, Republicans have gone a long way toward dismantling key Obamacare provisions under the misleading guise of reforming or improving our health care system. As a result, more than 20 million Americans face higher insurance premiums next year. And almost 14 million Americans could lose their health insurance altogether over the next decade — an estimated 3.3 million in 2026 alone.

That’s more than 70 percent of those who gained coverage since Obamacare went into effect.

You may be forgiven for missing this headline. There wasn’t one. In 2016, Donald Trump ran on a promise to abolish the program and kept up his crusade throughout his first term, only to have the effort deep-sixed by Senator John McCain. This time around, Mr. Trump has rarely — if ever — mentioned the Affordable Care Act by name. Nor have his fellow Republicans.

But they never stopped trying.

Maybe a trump voter could explain why increasing health insurance premiums and taking away coverage for millions is such a priority? Especially in light of there being no replacement plan for the ACA.
ABSOLUTELY!

They're thrilled. The more carnage, the better.

They're victims and they want revenge at any cost.

I don't think rest of us, across the political spectrum, have a full understanding of the rage under which these people are operating.
Don't project. Anyone with an honest bone in their body recognizes leftists are most happy when there's failure and confusion. When those things don't exist you guys make it up.

Dem's certainly do protest failure and confusion brought about the this regime.

Oh sure, yeah right.

Dems protest just for the fact Trump breathes, PERIOD. What was it again, "No Kings Day"? Nobody knows what that means in a real sense, but a million Dems. led by hateful, unhappy and senseless post menopausal women "protested" the illusion anyhow.

Because Republicans have contempt for sound, responsible governance.

Is this how you recommend a Repub should respond to constituents who will no longer be able to afford health insurance?

"My adult pragmatism is making health insurance unaffordable for you but look on the bright side, millionaires are getting a tax break."

Because they are spending the ADDITIONAL supplement they received as a part of COVID relief on movie tickets and popcorn. Sorry, grow up. They are whining because they don’t want to give up the niceties they bought with the ADDITIONAL freebees. They will continue to get the subsidies they received pre-COVID.

Dems blow up Teslas.
Dems assinate children in schools and churches.
Dems asasinate anyone who doesn't blindly agree with them.
Dems = carnage
It seems you don't have a firm grasp on reality.

Healthcare fraud has been ripping off the US taxpayer for decades. Trump is fixing that too.

C'mon, it can't possibly be too complicated for you to understand what that means in a metaphorical and a real sense.

If the democrats are whining, raging, freaking out, crying, lying about everything, and having to resort to violence, then the Trump administration is doing a great job. Now is the time to kick it up a notch!

stopping a subsidy that no longer applies and removing millions of illegals off the rolls IS sound, responsible Governance retard.
Would you mind substantiating the claim their are millions of undocumented immigrants receiving ACA subsidies?

AI Overview

No, undocumented immigrants, sometimes referred to as "illegal aliens," do not qualify for federal subsidies under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Federal law explicitly bars them from purchasing insurance through the ACA marketplaces or receiving federal financial assistance to help pay for coverage.
