It certainly deserves no discussion about the merits of this charge or that charge, since nobody who thinks the indictments are a good idea identify what specific action Trump took that specific law. Not even the prosecutors who, instead said Trump criminally did this and criminally did that.

He did pay an illegal bribe to Stormy Daniels and try to cover it up.
He did conspire with Georgia election officials to try to swing the election.
He did organize and instigate a riot outside the US Capitol.
He did take classified documents home with him and refused to return them when asked by the Archives.
