This is a pointless argument. They can be considered anyone, but they spoke German, lived on German lands (the Baltic region), had German culture, and German appearance. On that 2 dimensional spectrum, the difference is that under a lot of fascist regimes, the industrialists and commerce were protected and free to operate "in harmony" with the regime. The deeper you go thru prog/socialism to communism -- there is LESS and then NO economic freedom. Economy and commerce all centrally planned and controlled.

That's why -- they sit on opposite sides of the center line of Authoritarianism.
