Is there anything preventing law enforcement from shooting protesters who throw tear gas grenades back at the police?

That is assault against the police, and the police should be able to respond as if they are being attacked. Tear gas bombs can be very deadly, and these little communist thugs are putting our law enforcement in harms way when they throw them at the police. We're in the middle of a violent insurrection, but the police hands are tied because of liberal PC politics. It's time to clamp hard down on the protesters and looters, because their actions go against everything America stands for.

They usually burn their hands.

Yes, it's called democrats.

Perhaps just plain decency. Then, there is also the fact that it isn't a capital crime.

If tear gas is deadly why are they using it on non-violent protestors?

Protesting is an act of violence when it's done in the name of unamerican ideas.

There’s nothing un-American about protesting systematic injustice in our police system.

The shit quickly goes downhill when water bottles are first thrown at police (thank the NYPD last summer for tolerating water being dumped on them, for this!), and soon thereafter, the police get pelted with rocks and bricks and the media still calls them peaceful.
What a shitshow!
Peaceful protesting is a Dimm controlled media mirage!!

A hailstorm of rubber bullets took care of that.
Two nights relative peace in the Twin Cities after the MN National Guard showed they were not fucking around.
Anyone on the streets after curfew got three verbal warnings to move on, then they "Lit em up".
Most of the trouble makers dissapeared after two nights of sweeping the streets.
Great thing about all those CCTV cameras, tells the troops exactly where to go.
