Is there a way to set an alert when a particular poster starts a new thread?

I've set alerts when a new thread is started in a particular forum, is there a setting to get an alert when a poster I follow starts a new thread?

Yep. Click on someone's name, then click "Follow".

I think that should work.

That's what I thought too, but I did follow them, and I'm not getting alerts. Maybe I toggled alerts off somewhere.

I'm on my phone, so I can't poke around that much, but I checked the alert preferences, and there doesn't seem to be an option for that.

I think that should work.

I follow many ppl but don't know of any advantage to it. One thing I miss is being able to see who posted in a thread and how many times ranked by frequency. Helps in the search feature. No biggie.
