Is there a ‘war’ against American culture perpetuated by politicians and multiculturalism?

:Yeah, we should never have allowed all those Catholics, Micks, Eyetalians, Pollocks, Frogs, Ruskies, Krauts, and other scum come here. YUGE mistake. They totally destroyed our culture and history!

Yes, yes, yes... very nice, I'm sure...

The trouble with your analogy is that back then we were a nation of 70 - 100,000,000 million souls, with vast tracts of open land, and work for anyone who wanted it...

However, today, we are a nation of 330,000,000 souls, and all the land has been parceled out, and we cannot employ nor feed nor clothe our own without communal effort...

Things change...

I am glad that my ancestors managed to get here before we grew so crowded and became much pickier about whom we allow in and whom we do not...

But it is what it is...

We can no longer afford an open-door / open-borders policy just to make Lib-Progs feel good and to maintain an open-door policy that no longer works for the Republic...

Time for a 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 year -long moratorium on large-scale immigration...

We have all the souls we need ( One-Third of a BILLION nowadays ) and that's quite enough for the next generation or two, thank you very much.

If we can't figure it out on our own or manufacture it on our own or build it on our own or maintain it on our own or heal it on our own then we don't need it, in the long run.

Time to close the door and padlock it for a while.

I agree with a 50 year moratorium on all immigration.

You're posting that the defense of slavery was good for our country...
Never said that, do you know who General Robert E. Lee was? That’s what this is about, you believe we should remove statues from our past because George Floyd died from a drug overdose…

Robert E Lee is one of very few cadets to pass through the US Military Academy at West Point without a single demerit. In the Mexican War General Winfield Scott called him “the greatest soldier I’ve ever seen.” As an Army Engineer he re-routed the Mississippi River and saved the city of St Louis. When he inherited slaves from his father in law, he educated them and set them free, and he referred to slavery as “a political and moral evil”. He turned down Lincoln’s offer to Command the US Army that would invade the South and his home State of Virginia even though leading that Army would have certainly brought him international fame and likely the presidency. He instead offered his sword to Virginia and fought against that invasion for four years leading an Army that was vastly outnumbered, out supplied and out fed. After the war, as the most beloved figure on either side of the war, he turned down all of the opportunities that would have enriched him by refusing to sell his family name. He chose instead to take a job with meager pay at Washington College because he knew that rebuilding the country meant that we needed to raise men of high honor and character. His first act as President of the College was to build a Chapel.

On Lee’s last visit to Richmond, a lady approached General Lee with an infant in her arms and asked “Would you please hold my baby?” General Lee took the child, looked the woman in the eye and said “you must teach him to deny himself.” Biographer Douglas Southall Freeman pointed out that this one statement characterized the entirety of how General Lee lived.

As the end of his life was approaching Robert E Lee was asked, with all of his accomplishments, what should his headstone say. He answered “that I am a poor sinner, trusting in Christ alone for my salvation.”

That a monument to this man has been taken down is a monument itself. The barren space where his memorial stood is a testament to the depraved depths to which the morality and character of our society has fallen.

If you believe his statues and name should still be removed, you sir are the problem…

He was a very able general...who fought to maintain slavery. He lead an Army against the United States in doing so.

Sorry...that's not something to be celebrating

What planet do you live on?

Slavery was a GOO thing?

Jesus
You do not know anything about the realities of Slavery down south.

Nor anything else most likely.

You need to be cast into the outer darkness

You have a very limited understanding of what the Civil War was about and I don’t have the time to educate you…

If you believe removing our past is going to help, you didn’t receive much of a education…

Your ignorance of history is amazing.

We need to get back to favoring the immigration of Europeans like we did up to 1965 before LBJ and his lackeys lied to the American People and rammed a new radical immigration bill through congress favoring 3rd world immigrants....such a disastrous policy that is to blame for most of our troubles today.

you cannot have a Great Nation without great people....immigration should be based on the potential of new immigrants to help America.

Importing people with low iq's, no education, and no skills with an alien religious beliefs only exacerbates our problems.

What am I missing?

The rapes?

The selling off of family members?

The whipping?

The mutilation?

The SLAVERY?
Propaganda promoted by hollywood.

If you want to get some reality of slavery as it was practiced in the Great Southland read some of the slave narratives though the pc crowd has managed to delete much of the truth there also.

It’s not going to happen because demleftist politicians use it as a wedge issue to enrage the lemmings for their vote. Do you really believe Nancy gives a damn about Mexicans?
What too many do not get is that elitists like fanci nanci do not have any appreciation for the group that made America Great.....the white working class.

At one time the democratic party was the champion of the White Working Class...then after WWII the communists, socialists and un-educated minorities gained control of it and the good decent democrats fled to the Republican party which was somewhat better but not that much...they were called Reagan democrats.

Now the democratic party is full blown communist and wreaking havoc on America.

Yeah. America was so much greater when negroes and fags and spics knew their place...at the end of a rope.
America was greater when women stayed in the goddam kitchen and couldn't vote.
Your comment on women is likely satire, but it's accurate. Voting vaginas are ruining America.
