I am willing to defend the Catholic Church official teachings on almost any issue. I cannot defend this pope on certain issues, and this is one of them. Makes no sense to me from what I know thus far. The Catholic Church, just like the nations in the West, is in a spiritual crisis.

I am intrigued----On what issues do you disagree with the Pope?

Honestly, I try to forget on purpose.
One, his overzealouness on the environment (at the expense of his ignoring other more serious human and social problems) disturbs. me. When he met with Trump a while back, what book did Pope Francis give to Trump? ---- something all about protecting our environment. (That, is what Francis thought was the most important message for America?)
Two, I am disturbed by how he virtually demands Europe take in every Middle Easterner or other refugees that shows up on their border. He will not discuss all of the violence, rapes, anger, intolerance, et al. these immigrants bring with them.
Three, he has dodged the priestly abuse and cover up gigantic sexual scandal far more than addressed it. He has failed the faithful who demand a more pure process for dealing with abusers and vetting out seminarians.
Four, he has prevaricated and refused to answer direct questions from bishops, priests, and the Catholic faithful on the matters of Holy Communion to be given to non-Catholics of various stripes and especially to divorced Catholics who remarry or co-habitate. How could he not see being wishy-washy on this would created major confusion and contention?
