Nearly every day I'm hearing squeaking noises on other forums from those Americans still holding on in tech industry that they look to be replaced within the next year by either AI, an H1B, or a combination of both.
People laugh at the AI/H1B hysteria, but I absolutely see a huge calamity approaching, mass unemployment, and no clue how it’s gonna work out.
AI supposed to be cheaper and faster than humans…..H1Bs cheaper than Americans and save companies money but how will government pay welfare or simply pay people to do nothing unless they massively tax companies who use AI/H1Bs?
50-100 million unemployed people sitting idle usually leads to bad things no huge upheaval.
I've been out of the workforce almost 12 years now in retirement but I think it's gonna be nuts out there.....The youngins' are worried.
