Is Newsome and the democrats responsible for the wild fires in California?

Yes. Democrats are indeed responsible for the fires.

They knowingly and deliberately allowed massive amounts of dead trees, excess brush, and other fuel to accumulate in forests.

They knowingly and deliberately sent trillions of gallons rainwater into the ocean instead of using it for human use.

They knowingly and deliberately avoided building enough reservoirs.

They knowingly and deliberately avoided building enough Israeli-style desalination plants:

LAFD Assistant Chief Kristine Larson said a firefighter's job is to "look like you," and that's it's not their responsibility to carry people out of burning buildings.

So yes, it's definitely Democrats' fault that these fires are as bad as they are.

People make choices.

Choices have consequences.

Trump has a history of chastising California for their poor management of wildfires, most notably when he critiqued them for not maintaining their forests to clear debris from catching fire in 2019 and for not diverting more water from the north to the south, all to try and protect a very small fish called the "smelt".

This fish is why the fire hydrants in burning California have no water.

Meanwhile, the mayor Karen Bass of the apocalyptic region decided to go to Gahna to celebrate the inauguration of their new President. Why a mayor of LA is doing this is unclear. Her departure coincided with the National Weather Service escalating warnings about the coming windstorm. But even when the mayor got news of the wildfires, she chose not to come home sooner.

But the mayor is also being questioned regarding depleting the fire department.

Los Angeles' budget is in the spotlight as multiple wildfires rage around the city amid revelations that Mayor Karen Bass slashed the fire department's budget last year while prioritizing spending on the city's homeless population.

For the 2023-2024 fiscal year, Los Angeles budgeted $837 million for the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), which was roughly 65% the size of the homeless budget of $1.3 billion.

An analysis by L.A.'s city comptroller last year found that roughly half the budget for homelessness went unspent.

From the 2023-2024 to the 2024-2025 budgets, the LAFD’s budget was reduced by over $17 million from $837,191,237 to $819,637,423.

Bass had proposed a larger budget cut to the LAFD, about $23 million, but it was not adopted.

Of course, it is California where the voters drink the cool aid any time a democrat demands they do.

So, nothing will change other than federal money continuing to fix the utter devastation in the region because of their ineptitude while they try to turn the rest of the nation into California. After all, only true democracy can be attained with one party rule, that is, rul of the democrat party.
I heard the Delta Smelt were not indigenous to CA. Don't know why they need protection. There are millions of them. Bass is a Marxist/Communist and has been for decades.

Well what can you do about that? I think the point is, what COULD HAVE been done to minimize a huge wildfire breakout was not done.
The CA and FED 'let it burn' environmental forest management has caused this. Before the Spotted Owl, we used to have logging on federal BLM land and the loggers had bull dozers and some fire fighting equipment handy to stop fires before they spread. They're all gone and the loony leftist, environmental Democrats even banned cleaning up the forest floor fuel accumulations. Decades of fuel accumulation is causing these fires. Add to that, ineffectual leadership, the refusal to build more water storage and the destruction of dams and it's just disaster after disaster. Newsom has done nothing and has further taken CA to the abyss.

We all knew this was the inevitable outcome. The only conclusion is the Dem politicians wanted this to happen.

What is that thing? It's like 'sorry, you're in the wrong place' what bullshit. That he/she/it should be fired immediately.

And of course there will be ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. That worthless Democrat Mayor Bass will give more speeches about "uniting Californians" and other BS and a couple years from now there will be another massive wildfire breakout.

Bass is a Commie...

Is Newsome and the democrats responsible for the wild fires in California?

No, but Dotard is relying on you dopes believing his baseless allegations.

Critics also point out that most of California’s wildlands are federally managed.

Trump blames California for wildfires, tells state 'you gotta clean your floors'

The combination of assigning blame while fires still burn and offering questionable remedies have become as familiar to Californians as the conflagrations that ignite each year.

Anything else?
In 2016, Trump advised Newsome he should stop allowing north & central California water to drain off into the Pacific ocean, and should divert that water to Southern California, to refill their dry reservoirs.

In 9 years. with plenty of time to have done this, and on the scale needed, Newsome did practically nothing. Reservoirs remain dry, hydrants are dry, and firefighters are standing around doing nothing, unable to do their jobs.
Trump blames Newsome. He's not the only one.

Trying to cover his guilty butt, Newsome claims Trump's warning never happened, but it is well documented. During his 2016 campaign, Trump first promised to redirect California’s northern runoff south to benefit farmers, and made good on his promise in 2020, with a federal memorandum that redirected millions of gallons of water to southern California, he said was otherwise “needlessly flushed” into the ocean, according to Courthouse News Service.

Guess what bonehead Newsom did.. He sued to block Trump’s move, and succeeded in limiting the amount of water that can be pumped from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Damn fool.

yes dem leadership is responsible .. but the disaster is so enormous it will be nearly impossible to rebuild and recover from for yrs to come .. because of that expect the lying left to place blame on the incoming POTUS .. the question is will the people of CA fall for the lefts blame shifting faggotry ..

Are you REALLY that dumb? Wow dude.
Did you want to clear all the underbrush from hundreds of acres of wooded areas, or irrigate the areas so there wouldn't be dried underbrush? The area had received almost no rain for quite a while. What exactly do you think should have been done?
