Is Newsome and the democrats responsible for the wild fires in California?

It would make sense for states to mandate that homeowners and renters maintain sufficient insurance on their property or they take the loss in these fire instead of the taxpayers. Perhaps a bit of humanitarian aid would be appropriate and of course charities will step up to help, but certainly the irresponsible should not be a large burden on other Americans.

Newsom and California Democrats and sometimes the EPA are responsible for refusing to remove as much combustible materials as is reasonable around population centers and for refusing to allow homeowners to remove combustible material from their properties. And certainly all are responsible for compromising the water supply that is needed to put out fires without a contingency plan to replace that water.

Santa Ana winds are inevitable occurring on average 10 to 25 times every year and building codes should take that into consideration.
Well there's a bit of a problem with that logic. Insurance companies are bailing out of California because they need to raise rates in order to stay solvent. That may be fine but California is not letting them...hence the insurance company's bail.

Trump has a history of chastising California for their poor management of wildfires, most notably when he critiqued them for not maintaining their forests to clear debris from catching fire in 2019 and for not diverting more water from the north to the south, all to try and protect a very small fish called the "smelt".

View attachment 1063307

This fish is why the fire hydrants in burning California have no water.

Meanwhile, the mayor Karen Bass of the apocalyptic region decided to go to Gahna to celebrate the inauguration of their new President. Why a mayor of LA is doing this is unclear. Her departure coincided with the National Weather Service escalating warnings about the coming windstorm. But even when the mayor got news of the wildfires, she chose not to come home sooner.

But the mayor is also being questioned regarding depleting the fire department.

Los Angeles' budget is in the spotlight as multiple wildfires rage around the city amid revelations that Mayor Karen Bass slashed the fire department's budget last year while prioritizing spending on the city's homeless population.

For the 2023-2024 fiscal year, Los Angeles budgeted $837 million for the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), which was roughly 65% the size of the homeless budget of $1.3 billion.

An analysis by L.A.'s city comptroller last year found that roughly half the budget for homelessness went unspent.

From the 2023-2024 to the 2024-2025 budgets, the LAFD’s budget was reduced by over $17 million from $837,191,237 to $819,637,423.

Bass had proposed a larger budget cut to the LAFD, about $23 million, but it was not adopted.

Of course, it is California where the voters drink the cool aid any time a democrat demands they do.

So, nothing will change other than federal money continuing to fix the utter devastation in the region because of their ineptitude while they try to turn the rest of the nation into California. After all, only true democracy can be attained with one party rule, that is, rul of the democrat party.

We have fires, major fires, down here in South Florida all the time. Mostly in the Winter when there is no (0) rain. And if we happen to get a Frost..... Yikes! It's really bad. Really bad.

The difference is, we have people that know what they're doing in charge. We do prescribed burns when necessary and let the bears and eagles worry about themselves.

We had one instance in which some environMENTALists said there was some bear scat where we were burning so somebody went and shot a bear and threw his carcass in the field. I thought it was pretty funny at the time. Pretty sure the bear was a trouble-maker that someone got rid of.

But, yeah, we get Wildfires down here, too. The worst are the peat fires. Can't put them out. Very annoying. And stinky.

But the difference is really simple -- dimocrap scum are ******* stupid. And incompetent. And mouthy. And smell bad. But mostly incompetent and stupid.

They can take something that is straight-forward as can be and **** it up. every time.

It's like dimocrap scum only have one reason to exist -- To **** things up. If you want something to get fucked up, give it to a dimocrap. They'll take care of it.

We're not perfect. Far, very far, from it. But dimocrap scum seem to go our of their way to **** things up.

Plus, they're really stupid. Again..... Does the stupid follow the incompetence or is the other way around??

Ever notice, whenever there's a shit-show with goobermint involved, it's always dimocraps? Every time.

Not a coinky-dink, folks

Building homes in wildfire country has nothing to do with this ... just because these hills burn every few decades doesn't mean they should burn ever again ... right? ...

Trump-folk shore is stoopid ... Gawd ... people wouldn't live there except for the rail heads ...

The water CAUSES the wildfires ... you want MORE water brought in to grow MORE brush to burn ... that's stoopid ...

Save fish, including Sacramento Kings:

more water dampens the floor of the forests, and keeps them from drying out.

Notice how they emphasize dry conditions all the time. Why, no water.

Southern CA had record rainfall in 2024. There was no "drought condition".

The winds are the Santa Anas, which come from the south, not the east.

You should have stopped listening after you heard "climate scientist", because that means you're about to be lied to. You're just too dumb to realize it.
Southern California is extremely dry right now, with huge portions of the region having seen less than a quarter-inch of rain in the last eight months. The landscape is parched and vegetation is withered, making the area dangerously susceptible to burning, an unusual situation for January.

Santa Ana winds can bring disruptive impacts to daily life in Los Angeles and parts of southern California, but when coupled with wildfires they can escalate the situation rapidly, causing the fires to take hold and spread at great speed.

These strong and gusty east or north-easterly winds blow from inland towards the coast.

Don't you know by now that I enjoy proving you trumples to be disgusting, ******* liars?

Use reputable sources. The BBC and NYT are propaganda for dumb people like you.

Trump litterally promissed that he has some guy who will fix Chicago's inner city problems for him, because supposedly Trump will "just let him do his job". He actually RAN on that bullshit in 2016.

Here is how REALITY worked out:

In the speech, Trump rattled off Chicago crime statistics and claimed that Johnson puts the needs of people living in the U.S. illegally above those of law-abiding residents of Chicago. “Those are his values and frankly those values to me are a disgrace,” Trump said. “I want Eddie Johnson to change his values and to change them fast.”

During the conference, Trump signed an executive order creating a presidential commission on law enforcement to study issues like substance abuse, homelessness and mental illness. The president also announced that the Justice Department will begin a “surge” to crack down on violent crime in the United States, targeting gang members and drug traffickers in high-crime areas.

Johnson, meanwhile, is under internal investigation after he was found sleeping in a city-owned vehicle earlier this month. Lightfoot said Johnson, who called for the investigation, told her he had “a couple of drinks with dinner” before he fell asleep at a stop sign while driving home. Johnson blamed the episode on a change in his blood pressure medication.

And thats how the clown show goes - laughable, ignorant statements and promises followed by incompetent winging-it, then messy reality and moving on to some other stream-of-consciousness clown show on something else Trump happens to have gotten into his ear.
:dunno:

Don't you have a dog kennel to clean, cuck?

You got caught in a lie and lack the integrity to admit it. Imagine my surprise.

Using the likes of the NYT for your "fact check" makes you look like a ******* moron. That's the same rag that claims vaccinated people can't get covid, and that Trump carjacked the Secret Service on Jan 6th. :auiqs.jpg:

Like I said, propaganda for stupid people like you.

Well there's a bit of a problem with that logic. Insurance companies are bailing out of California because they need to raise rates in order to stay solvent. That may be fine but California is not letting them...hence the insurance company's bail.
The State sets the regulatory standards for insurance companies for everything but health insurance that Obama took over at the federal level. There is no problem with my logic at all. But if state policies make it difficult or impossible for insurance companies to make a profit in a state, the state seriously needs to rethink its policies.

When insurance companies assess your property as a risk your premium will be based on numerous factors. Some of those factors are: --is there a local fire department manned 14/7? People who depend on volunteer fire departments will pay higher premiums.

--is there a fire hydrant located within a reasonable distance from your home? If not you will pay a higher premium.

--Is there an adequate water supply for that fire hydrant? If not you will pay a higher premium.

Is your property, wiring, fuel supply etc. in bad condition or not up to code or do other significant hazards exist that make a damaging fire almost inevitable? Insurance companies may not insure that property at all.

But it is the state policies that create such conditions. And that in California is on the head of Gavin Newsom, mayors, state legislature, city councils etc.

The state can provide the insurance if no private companies will. In the State of New Mexico insurance is too high but isn't so high because of something called 'assigned risk.' People who cannot easily buy regular insurance because they are too high risk can go into an assigned risk pool. The insurance companies operating within the state are equitably assigned these high risk properties/drivers or whatever so that no one company is burdened with a lot of them. The insurance companies are allowed to charge considerably higher premiums for each assigned risk policy, but the more of them there are, the higher everybody's insurance will be.

America first is a responsible policy that puts American interests ahead of people that want our money, resources, etc. without meriting them. A state can put the responsible people's interests first instead of making them responsible for the irresponsible. And it is the laws/policies of each state that have a large bearing on encouraging at least the vast majority to be responsible.

California laws/policies seem geared to encourage irresponsibility.

Sixty years of ever increasing leftism is to blame for the wild fires.

Tying your Prog families to trees and dwellings in those fire areas and watching the fun from it will garner great ratings. The crazies took over the environment. They are murderers. California has 50 million people, and it is like Captain Bligh of Mutiny on the bounty making deals with the natives of Tahiti. Only the end result is not the idealist life of the Tahitians.

I want to know what fire prevention activities were taken and which ones were proposed but snuffed by environmental group opposition. How much training have local FD's been doing with regards to wildfires.

I want to know what has been done the past 2-3 decades to improve their water storage capacity.

I also want to know in the past 10 years the levels of development that have encroached on the previously wild areas around LA.

SoCal has been dealing with this since the beginning. This isn't anything new.

You’ll never get an answer to these questions from the dems and their media wing.
