Is it unpatriotic to criticize a man who wears a uniform to a Congressional hearing?

I think that there are RULES where its appropriate or inappropriate to wear uniforms for both military and police and other public servants but i'm forgetting them . Maybe someone knows or remembers them .

Since he is an active duty officer, appearing in his official capacity......pretty sure he is supposed to be wearing his uniform.

Vindman was working in a official capacity at the White House....And like most other military men, he wore a civilian suit.

I was speaking of his appearance before the House Impeachment inquiry.

Criticize what he does if you can prove he's wrong....but he was being attacked as a traitor and a spy even before he testified and with NO evidence.

That's because he is a traitor and a spy. There is already plenty of evidence to support that, and his fumbling for answers when testifying proves that.

Having spent 8 years in DoD, military and civilian, I can say that some of the most worthless bureaucrats I've ever met were field grade officers. Masters at doing nothing and yet trying to take credit for what got done (by others).

Any medals, awards & citations can be discounted dramatically once the officer gets past O-3 (Captain/Lt - Navy). Field-Grade officers and Generals get awards for showing up. Not that these awards are all meaningless, one just has to look a little closer. When I was in VIetnam, Majors and above got a Bronze Star and a Legion of Merit for showing up for work. Purple Heart? Again look closely. Doesn't always mean "wounded in action."

Any officer wearing DRESS BLUES under the circumstances of these hearings is kind of a peacock. Like wearing a three-piece suit to the office picnic.

A military office in a billet like this has NO BUSINESS criticizing or questioning the intentions of the Commander in Chief, or undermining his policies, no matter how uncomfortable it makes him. Policy-wise, he is no more important than a rat on a ship.

So you smear Vindman......based purely upon your speculation.

A military officer's first responsibility is to the Constitution of the United States- not to the President.
Vindman reported his concerns to the proper legal channels.
And when served with a legal subpoena provided his truthful testimony.

Why you would think any military officer should put Trump before our country, i don't understand

Cunningham was arguably the greatest fighter pilot in the Vietnam war and used to be credited for creating the course known as "Top Gun". Congressman Cunningham was guilty of accepting gifts from lobbyists while a member of congress and democrats didn't stop until they put him in prison. Another republican congressman and a semi-skilled Vietnam pilot, John McCain, who was shot down in Vietnam was guilty of essentially the same thing during the "Keating five" scandal but the other four congressman were democrats so he ended up with a slap on the wrist.

I love how you hold Duke Cunningham up.....having worked with people who worked with him....he was no one to admire.....and he betrayed the military by taking bribes from a shoddy military industrial company while on the military appropriations committee.

"No one to admire"? Just about every flyer in Vietnam admired Cunningham and the people admired him enough to elect him to congress.. He was guilty of taking gifts from lobbyists but so was McCain. Democrats had no love for McCain or any other Vet but they let McCain off with a slap on the wrist because four democrats were involved. Cunningham could have resigned in disgrace but democrats were determined to send him to prison.

LOL EVERY single one of those ribbons is a give me for an officer of his rank. A unit award is simply a give me for being in a large unit cited for any number of reasons. My Army SNCO boss at an Army school put himself in for a couple of those awards and got the civilian bosses to sign off on them as proof he worked there as an instructor and a boss.

Remember- impeachment is not a criminal process.

Circumventing the due process section of our constitution is against everything our justice system stands for.
