The War of Northern Aggression in 1861 was not a "civil war" despite the misnomer to the contrary.

The Seceding South did not attempt to gain control of the Government of the United States; it merely seceded from that union and formed it's own, separate and distinct confederation... which was comprised solely of DEMOCRATS, with regard to the party affiliation prior to that secession.

In truth the Union invaded that sovereign nation, conquered it's people, dispatched it's government and did so for the sake of maintaining the Union; which FTR, the Union government which did so, was a government lead by the Republicans.

Such is the also the case with the other absurdity you've advanced, which projects that someone amongst the Republicans has contested the unalienable right to pursue the care of one's own health...

When are poeple going to realize that short of taking less tax money from businesses, there is little the governemnt can do to help the economy.
A man gets a temp job paving a road via stimulus money, he knows it is temporary and will spend based on the fact that he may be unemployed again once the road is paved...so he will simply spend the money needed to survive.....mnoney he would have gotten from unemplyment anyway.
Healthcare? I am against much of what is in the current 5 bills...but at least government is doing their jobs....legislation for ther welfare of the people.

They were too concerned with issues of national security, but they did drop the ball. That said, why didn't Democrats bring these reforms in the past two years?
