54 pellets of #4 buck ain't no joke.
If it was all black, it looks just like mine. I love that gun.

Incorrect. All airspace is governed by FAA regulation. You own exactly zero airspace. And if you decide to take it upon yourself to shoot down a drone, any drone; you are subject to the same penalties as shooting a commercial aircraft. That means extensive fines, and/or prison time. The more ya know...
There are exceptions, but the altitude of the flight seems to be the only relevant factor. Drones that are not FAA regulated are generally restricted to 400'. That is the property owner's air space. A property owner is within his rights to not be surveilled by anyone (enjoyment of property).

This morning they're saying the drones are very "sophisticated" because "when you put eyes on them they go dark".

What makes you think they don't know who is operating them?

That's what the gov't is telling the news reporters and congressman who have asked.

But If they really don't know...why haven't the governors of the states shot them down?

What exactly would you use to shoot one down? It would take something like a MANPAD to do it, and I don't think you can use that in an urban area very safely. What happens if the drone crashes on a preschool?

I have one I got in a weird way.

I went in the gun shop one day and they always put back "distressed" guns for me to see if I want to try to fix them and they handed me an 835 with no buttstock or barrel.....Just the action and forend.

You want this, just do the paperwork....So I took it.

I put a Mossberg feedspeed stock on it I had at the house and set it aside.

About six months later I was at the flea market and a guy had two camo barrels ( 28" and 20") for $50.00 bucks each so I bought them both.....Sorta mismatched lookin' but it works as it should. ;)

According to a N.J. congressman, a Coast Guard boat was followed by about a dozen of these things but the Coast Guard doesn't have permission from the DOD to shoot one down. The big question is WTF is the DOD doing?
