Kentucky Man Arrested After Shooting Down Neighbor's Drone
A Kentucky man faces two felony charges after shooting down a drone near his yard says he was only trying to keep his loved ones safe.www.nbcnews.com
And plenty more... Happy hunting.
There are exceptions, but the altitude of the flight seems to be the only relevant factor. Drones that are not FAA regulated are generally restricted to 400'. That is the property owner's air space. A property owner is within his rights to not be surveilled by anyone (enjoyment of property).Incorrect. All airspace is governed by FAA regulation. You own exactly zero airspace. And if you decide to take it upon yourself to shoot down a drone, any drone; you are subject to the same penalties as shooting a commercial aircraft. That means extensive fines, and/or prison time. The more ya know...
What makes you think they don't know who is operating them?
Maybe it's the alien invasion that will herald Jesus coming back
One can only hope
You really think a 22LR would hurt anything that big?Yeah...but I was thunking a 22 LR would go higher do to its lighter weight.

What exactly would you use to shoot one down? It would take something like a MANPAD to do it, and I don't think you can use that in an urban area very safely. What happens if the drone crashes on a preschool? That's what the gov't is telling the news reporters and congressman who have asked.
But If they really don't know...why haven't the governors of the states shot them down?
Drones would just fly around them. They don't need linear flight like aircraft.I wonder what #4 Buckshot would do to them?
There is always this:

Yes, the newest drones wear sunglasses. This morning they're saying the drones are very "sophisticated" because "when you put eyes on them they go dark".
