Now's a better time than ever since the whole world seems to be forgetting why nationalist populism is a problem.
Multiculturalism is a problem. When people do not have a national heritage they become vagabonds wandering around aimlessly. Their ancestors' graves are pissed on by foreign invaders, their monuments are destroyed, their history is revised to please foreigners thus their identity is destroyed. Nationalism is bad for Global Elitists but not for nations.
If you think multiculturalism is a problem, then you think the entire United States is a problem
If that is what you think of the U.S.A. then you are sadly misinformed. Our country is not about MULTIculturalism, it is what has been coined a "Melting Pot" of cultures, thus creating a culture that is seen nowhere else in the world. We celebrate St.Patrick's day, as an example, not because we are all Irish, but because it has become part of our culture. In multiculturalism, the Irish would celebrate the day, and few Irish folks, if any, would celebrate Cinco DeMayo.
Let me break it down for you:
Multi- "more than one; many, especially variegated."
Google
Culturalism- "...a concept in philosophy and sociology... to describe the central importance of culture as an organizing force in human affairs."

So, a multicultural society would be one with many definitions of what is socially acceptable, social norms, and ideas about how society should work. Is that really what you want? Multiple definitions of what is socially acceptable?
