Is it time for a legitimate third party?

You are SOOOO goddamned stupid. But, in part, you're right. Me voting for a third party likely won't change the outcome of the election. We'll get a shitty President either way. So, given that, I'm going to vote for a candidate I actually do believe it. Why not?
I’m stupid for voting for a candidate with a chance to win and you’re smart for voting for a candidate with ZERO chance at winning? As JD Vance would say….”Do you hear yourself?”

Curried nailed it…Your 73 votes aren’t really going to change much either way…I’m just fascinated by people who think they’re doing something just and noble by effectively doing nothing at all and in most cases fucking themselves.
to be the devils advocate here, what would those 73 votes do in either party?

You keep saying that but only you and your 73 buddies believe it. I’m pretty sure that’s the problem, that’s why you’re off to a dark shithole, your grasp of reality is way off….you’re delusional.

It is a fact, the past 30 years proves it. And if your beloved party wins, nothing will change and if I am still on the board after a year or two I am going to have fun laughing my ass off at you.

And where I am going is not dark at all, they get a ton of sunlight!

Yes, your candidate can win. You can walk around proud that your candidate won. Nothing will change, but hey you can keep telling yourself "at least my guy won".

read what you quoted from me.
I did and I'm still asking. Everyone believes in the freedom to do some things and restrictions on the freedom to do others. No one owns the notion of freedom. That's silly.

It wouldn’t matter either way…We’re just here debating a philosophical difference.
I’m fascinated by the theory, fascinated by those who will spend hours discussing the importance of voting and of politics while casting a vote for Mickey Mouse or the equivalent.

I am wanting to do just the opposite.
I get that. You want to take away the current freedom of blacks and gays to sit at lunch counters without being turned away because they're black and gay.
They are not, but I am glad you can admit you are ok with some restrictions, just not others.
As are you so why are you walking around like you don't have an asshole just like everyone else? :dunno:

his vote as I wrote. his freedom what he does with it. what I wrote and what is the quoted part of my post. dude, seriously, you are a fking twat burger.

It comes down to who is enforcing and creating the restrictions.

You favor the Govt doing it and I favor private entities doing so and letting the market work it out.

a philosophy that isn't relative to the way federal elections are actually counted.

Berni could have and should have won as a third party choice

But he cucked out for the corporate dems that fucked him over

It will never happen unless we get public funded elections

And ranked voting
Commie Bernie never understood what his appeal was.

His appeal was not that people suddenly loved Socialism.

It was that they didn't like Hillary as a person

You want people to create their own laws? :dunno: How the fuck does that work?

This facinates me. Almost 2/3rds of those polled support a 3rd party and yet....

... or people just choose not to vote 3rd party even though they could. Why is that?
No chance of winning.

Not laws. Who can sit at a counter should not be a matter of law, the Govt should have nothing to do with it.

If I want to open a diner and only serve black gay women over 6 feet tall I should be allowed to do so. The market can choose if it is a good idea or not.

This is not what I wanted from this thread, a bunch of you jumping in and doing exactly what we should be getting away from. But so many of you are so entrenched that your ideology, politically, is the only way, you can't stop, for one thread, and talk reasonably.

You're dealing with a USA Today type of demographic, collectively speaking.

Unfortunately, most of the modern electorate fits into that category now.

Some good posts from you earlier in the thread, though. You seem to get it.

Given the sad state of the electorate, though, I think it's best to continue working toward getting your own candidates into local position. The Massies and the Pauls and the Amash types are examples of what I mean.

I think you'll find it more conducive to your time and effort, given the nature of your previous thoughts in the thread, to involve yourself with those kinds of grassroots efforts/groups rather than jumping into the middle of a big pile of monkeys in assorted red and blue helmets trying to hump the party-of-one's football.

Don't waste your time or effort here. All you're going to accomplish in doing so is to occupy™ yourself.

Yeah. In your own opinion. Other people want black and gay people to have the freedom to sit at a lunch counter without being denied because they're black or gay. Why are you against FREEDOM!? :crybaby:

So business owners should have the freedom at the expense of people who want the freedom to sit at a lunchcounter of their choosing? Understand my point yet or is it still sailing right over your head?

I went to a couple of his rallies

He was a rock star

why do you only care about the black or guy person?

What about the Hispanic straight person?

You have no point, you are fighting for a "Freedom" that does not exist. I am not even sure you understand what a freedom is. Using your logic I should be able to go in any house I want, drive any car I want...regardless of who owns either.
