For instance Donald Trump, long before he got into politics, and long before anybody knew there was an Epstein scandal, accepted two or three flights on Epstein's private plane so his name is on those logs. But upon investigation, every one of those flights was from like Mar-a-lago to New York or from Mar-a-lago to New Jersey. Absolutely nothing sinister or improper about it.

A responsible investigation makes sure that whatever is released for public use cannot be used to demonize innocent people.

An "investigation" doesn't go from "I have all the files on my desk ready to go" to "those were just the preliminary documents, we have a truckload more to go through" to "there are hundreds of hours of videos, so wee need to vet them to protect the innocent" to "NOTHING TO SEE HERE!"
