It was a 767 frame, with different engines and external fairings that no stock 767 has. Though it cannot be proven, the fairings appear to be covering pipes, possibly involved in the fore and aft transfer of fuel. For many airplanes with a cargo version, the main difference in appearance from the outside is a much larger cargo door. I don't think we got to see that side of the aircraft.

I respectfully disagree. I have never flown a Boeing, and used to be a member of Pilots For 911 Truth 15-20 years ago. It was founded by airline pilots, but all sorts of pilots contributed, and many non-pilots too. RIP Rob Balsamo, the founder.

Because we had countless pictures of that airplane wing-up prior to the strike, those very familiar with the 767 pointed out that the external fairings at the wing root and elsewhere showed the airplane was not a stock 767. It had been modified after manufacture into what appears to be a tanker configuration, judging from those external fairings.

Also, the engine from that airplane that ended up blocks away on the sidewalk, many pictures taken of it, was not the engine from a stock 767. It was the engine from a 747.

Considering those facts, and understanding that all through the 1990s the USAF had written and discussed in public that they needed to find a replacement for the aging KC-10 and KC-135 aircraft (K designation in USAF is for tanker aircraft). In the late 90s USAF sent 20+ 767 aircraft to Israeli Aircraft Industries in Tel Aviv to be modified into tanker configuration so that they might be evaluated in that role. A number of them were accepted at MacDill AFB in Tampa sometime in 2000.

Dov Zakheim had a financial interest in IAI.

That airframe might have been a cargo version when it came off the production line, but it ended up a tanker version modified in Israel. Connect the dots....

We do know that Brooklyn-born Dov Zakheim, ordained Rabbi, was Comptroller at Pentagon in the years leading up to it. Rumsfeld mentioned him to the media on 10 September after he had been deposed by Cynthia McKinney regarding the missing $2.3 trillion. Nowadays it's hard to find much about Zakheim, like facts about him have been edited out.

Most all of the casualties at the Pentagon were congressional auditors regarding that money. All relevant records were also destroyed.

I've read that Zakheim had an interest in Israeli Aircraft Industries where 2 dozen 767 types were modified as tanker candidates to replace KC10. The second aircraft to strike at WTC appears to have been one of those. Can't find much about ol' Dov these days.
