Is Ben Wikler the Future of the Democratic party? Nominee for President 2028?

Long description (in your link). Could have been shortened to “Democrats send plants to Republican Townhall. “
Could be, but then again, what Trump and Musk has been doing is hurting the common person (including Republicans) and anyone that gets hurt unnecessarily is going to step up and make his voice known.

IF Trump and Musk had done nothing, then the probabilities favor it being a plant. Right now, plants are not needed.

That might be a good argument to make after Trump’s been in office for a while. It’s hard to imagine how what he is doing. Has already started to hurt the common person, especially Republicans.

OK, maybe I’m wrong. What are some examples of common people being hurt by Trump?

Jon Steward is one of my favorite broadcaster comedians and I rarely miss one of his shows and in the last show of his 1-day ago, he introduced Ben Wikeler. Ben Wikler is the elected chair of the Democratic party in Wisconsin and in becoming that, he was successful in breaking the overwhelming Republican control of the State (in other words, doing a miracle).

I have put the Jon Stewart video here in which he is interviewing Ben Wikler. Having said that, I know that the Trumpers are "automatically" going to pooh-pooh the video because they believe Jon Stewart is a lefty pawn.

As such, I am also putting an article (which also has a video of Ben Wikler) that was done by FOX, so that you can see that what this man has accomplished, and is looking to accomplish this coming year (become the speaker of the Democrat party), is real and not just a "lefty hoax".

I must be honest, I had never heard of Ben Wickler before today but in listening to him, it did raise my eyebrows a bit. He could easily become the main person for the "new" Democratic party.

Here first is the article (and video) from FOX.

Here now is the Jon Stewart video that does a better job explained the miracle that Wikler has already accomplished and what he wants to do for the future of the Democratic party

Frankly, I see nothing but pieces of junk in the White House, the Capitol, and the Supreme Court. It’s no surprise if America turns into a failed state. No joking :)

👉 Leadership crises in America are anticipated to intensify in the near future, driven by several interrelated factors:

Public Discontent with Leaders: A recent U.S. News-Harris Poll found that 86% of Americans are largely disappointed with their leaders, particularly in politics. This sentiment reflects a widespread belief that leaders are unprepared to address contemporary challenges, such as economic instability and climate change.

Trust Issues: Trust in political leaders is particularly low, with 72% of respondents indicating that most politicians are not trustworthy. This distrust is echoed across party lines, suggesting a systemic issue rather than isolated discontent with specific individuals.

Burnout Among Leaders: A looming leadership crisis may also stem from increasing burnout among current leaders. Reports indicate that 40% of stressed-out leaders have considered leaving their positions to improve their well-being, which could lead to a significant exodus from leadership roles.

Fragmentation of Institutions: The effectiveness of American governance is further challenged by a fragmentation of state institutions, where various entities pursue divergent policies, leading to disorganization and inefficiency in addressing national issues.

Declining Confidence in Institutions: Confidence in major American institutions is at historic lows, with less than 30% of Americans expressing significant trust in them. This decline exacerbates the leadership crisis as citizens become increasingly skeptical of those in power.

Impending Political Challenges: As the country faces complex global and domestic issues, the demand for effective leadership will grow. Analysts warn that without a dramatic improvement in leadership quality, the U.S. could face severe challenges ahead.

In summary, the combination of public disillusionment, institutional fragmentation, leader burnout, and declining trust in authority figures suggests that America is on the brink of a significant leadership crisis in the coming years. :)

Answer to both of your questions:

Nearly 10,000 fired as Trump and Musk step up government ...

You think that all of those 10,000 have been Democrats?

The overwhelming majority, according to polls.

I thought fed emps losing jobs would be your go to. Do you believe that unneeded and unproductive federal employees should stay in the payroll to keep from causing “pain?”

If you owned stocks, would you want those companies to do the same?

The Trump administration will not disclose how many workers it cut since last week ahead of its Tuesday deadline, but the government employed more than 200,000 probationary workers as of last year. The firings have extended to touch employees at almost every agency, including map makers, archaeologists and cancer researchers, The Post found, in choices that some workers said contradicted a U.S. Office of Personnel Management directive to retain “mission-critical” workers.

The Federal Aviation Administration let go hundreds of technicians and engineers just weeks after a midair collision a few miles from the White House killed 67 people, eliciting promises from Trump officials to improve air safety, workers said in interviews. FEMA, which handles the nation’s natural disasters, is preparing to fire hundreds of probationary employees, according to four people familiar with the situation who, like others interviewed for this report, spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of retaliation. The agency is already stretched thin responding to fires in California and floods in Kentucky. And the administration terminated scores of employees who work to bolster the nation’s nuclear defense, only to realize its error and start reversing the firings.

In the article above, he is getting rid of people that are doing Cancer research, getting rid of FEMA workers that are helping people recover from the recent catastrophes, and getting rid of people at the FAA that help keep planes from crashing into each other.

In simple words, people (all Americans irregardless of party) are now less safe, less protected, and more prone to problems.

Probationary workers? Obama spoiled that program by filling the agencies with last-minute hires of ideologically driven partisan.

Hard to blame Trump for being suspicious of employees, hired during the last months of the failing Biden administration.

Even if there were no concerted effort to hire, idealogues, just the fact that DEI was given such higher priority over competence in the Biden administration, means that it will be net gain to be rid of those last-minute hires.

Likely, there will be some who worked hard at jobs and should have been kept on. They can always reapply.

Federal employment is a privilege, not a right. The private sector awaits and is eager for willing workers.

Lets see here--Cancer research--clearly we have funded this for over fifty years with little noticeable effect. FEMA--the last 4 or 5 disasters have shown that FEMA takes more than they help and it is corrupt. FAA--after four years of Sec'ty Buttplug's incompetence, it is showing that it needs to be cleaned out and made more effective and efficient. All of which support current actions. BTW, what Trump policies have created the FAA problems that you are citing?
