Is Ben Wikler the Future of the Democratic party? Nominee for President 2028?

Jon Steward is one of my favorite broadcaster comedians and I rarely miss one of his shows and in the last show of his 1-day ago, he introduced Ben Wikeler. Ben Wikler is the elected chair of the Democratic party in Wisconsin and in becoming that, he was successful in breaking the overwhelming Republican control of the State (in other words, doing a miracle).

I have put the Jon Stewart video here in which he is interviewing Ben Wikler. Having said that, I know that the Trumpers are "automatically" going to pooh-pooh the video because they believe Jon Stewart is a lefty pawn.

As such, I am also putting an article (which also has a video of Ben Wikler) that was done by FOX, so that you can see that what this man has accomplished, and is looking to accomplish this coming year (become the speaker of the Democrat party), is real and not just a "lefty hoax".

I must be honest, I had never heard of Ben Wickler before today but in listening to him, it did raise my eyebrows a bit. He could easily become the main person for the "new" Democratic party.

That's all anyone can ask, give the guy a FAIR chance while doing your best to be OBJECTIVE in your evaluation, after all if he succeeds all Americans will reap the benefits of that success, including You and Yours.

In the meantime, might I suggest that you try to be less pessimistic, it's not good for your mental well-being.

In the meantime, might I suggest that you try to be less pessimistic, it's not good for your mental well-being.

Unforetunately, I am an evaluator and have been for 47 years and I have been right more often than wrong and my mind is already conditioned to both wins and losses. Nonetheless, there is nothing I can do about this evaluation since it is one of the strongest supported-by-facts evaluation I have ever done. It is like evaluating Gold during an inflation cycle. The probabilities favor Gold going up. It might not, but likely will. The same thing here with Trump going down because of what incompetency in a leader means.

You know what? I actually watched this video. In the past I have voted for a mix of Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and others. So, I was hoping this guy actually represented a change in the Democratic party, bringing the party back to the sane middle instead of being in the insaneasylum they have been in over the last several years.

This guy represents nothing of the sort. He spends all 19 minutes not changing a damn thing, not taking any responsibility for their loss, no reflection on their loss, etc. He spends the whole 19 minutes saying the elections were rigged and that they had a messaging problem and he says he has a plan to not change one damn thing but to unrig elections and message better. He repeats the same talking points against Republicans and the same talking points of the Democrats.

Voters voted for a change. They already knew democrat's messaging.

The Democratic Party needs to do something to avoid becoming totally irrelevant

I’m waiting for a third-party that will be liberal, but also populous as opposed to Trump’s conservative but also populist. Before that happens, Democrat should pick up that label.

That is really your only chance. Without Trump, it will be hard to continue the Trump Legacy. Only a few select individuals would be capable of doing it, and they may be primaried out by the establishment Republicans trying to regain their foothold.

If that happens, your party has a chance.

Your man Wicker sounds pretty good in that interview. Of course he hasn’t been through the slings and arrows yet.

I’m no expert, but I’d say he needs a shave, a hairstyle, and contact lenses if you really want him to be a president. Also, he didn’t get a tie for Christmas?

Looking at his wiki article, he’s got a few problems with the voters he would need to attract.

A Harvard economist? Normal people who will say “Harvard economics who got us into this mess of the first place!”

An Al Franken disciple? Franken molested a sleeping woman, knowing that he was being videotaped. Will this guy answer questions about that?

He has a moveon.org podcast in his background. My guess is that it will be a chock full of clips for Republican attack ads.

Anyway, not meaning to discourage you. Please keep looking for somebody – anybody – who might make 2028 something besides just a primary dogfight for the Republicans with the foregone conclusion that the winner of that will take the White House.

This man is "definitely" different to the "normal" Democrat and what he brings to the table, is truly what this country needs, and I do not say that in thinking of the Democrats but in thinking about what "all Americans" need, including the Republicans.................unless of course, you believe that giving more to the rich than they already have, is good for you.
