Amazon is considering showing the trump tariffs as a seperate lineon your receipt.
The White House considers this to be a "hostile" action, presumably becauseit will show the cost of tariffs to consumers.
Should amazon be free to bill people honestly and accurately without big state interference ?

Amazon has already backtracked and is denying the report.

WASHINGTON, April 29 (Reuters) – Amazon.com denied a report on Tuesday that it planned to disclose the cost that U.S. tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump were adding to its products, after the White House blasted the initial story.

Amazon said Tuesday it never considered listing tariffs on its main retail site, and nothing was implemented on any company site. “The team that runs our ultra-low cost Amazon Haul store has considered the idea of listing import charges on certain products,” a company spokesperson said. (more)

Amazon's ability to harm me extends only as far as my ability to be harmed by Amazon.

It's a great idea.

Once they show the cost of the tariff they are paying, it's simple math to calculate what they are paying for that product. If the tariff is 145%, and Amazon shows they pay $1.45 in tariff on an item, that means the item costs them $1.00.

If they're selling that item for $20.00, even a retard like you can figure out what their markup is.

Amazon is hostile to any business not their own.

And calling them "hostile is pretty funny after how hard Bzozs has been sucking up.

The rules of capitalism dictates that companies do whatever the must to maintain profit.

So no, Amazon is not hostile to the USA or any other country, they're just engaging in good ole Capitalism.

Yee haw!!!!

Do you want to ask an adult about that ?

Trump has reacted badly to this. Even threatening the postal service. Surely folk would welcome paying tariffs that will finance the US ? Americans arent going to quibble over a few dollars.
