So the media has their panties in a bunch over Trump pondering the idea of an invasion into Venezuela, if necessary. These are un'named sources so you know how that goes -- but these sources claim Trump repeatedly asked why the US could not militarily intervene to remove the government of Nicolás Maduro.

Is that really a bad idea? We should militarily intervene all thru Central America and put up more favorable governments down there which would definitely stop the flow of illegal aliens from down there.

Preemptive invasion of another country, regime change and nation building are ALWAYS a bad idea. Those who have studied the last 50 years of US foreign policy know that. Trump has no understanding of history. Doesn't read, no intellectual curiosity.

Could we do more in central America to slow down the flow of refugees? Sure .. we could help to educate their people. We could provide technology so that they might grow their way out of poverty and hopelessness. We could serve as a better example than Donald has with his baby internment camps.

There are a lot of things we could do that don't involve our military.

just build the WALL and militarize the border to protect the USA . USA needs to get serious and keep the 'venzies' and others on the southern side of the WALL and that shouldn't be hard to do with the WALL . Maybe arm the peasants down that way with AK or AR rifles and ammo .
