IRS makes deal with Atheists to Persecute Churches

While the IRS persecuting churches seems a little over the top, I would be thrilled if they lost their tax exempt status. Churches own businesses, ranches, farms, service providers, art, and above all, real estate, that is used not for religious purposes, to generate income. A great deal of it is purely scamming the government.

Prove it.

Well, now, that is the beauty of it, isn't it? Churches do not have to open their books to anybody. However, I can personally state that one of the HMO's that I worked for in New Orleans (Advantage Health Plan) was owned equality by the Sisters of Charity, the Franciscans, and the Dominicans. The Sisters of Charity alone invested $1,000,000 just for start up money and reserves. The company eventually went under, but not before they lost millions of dollars.

It is also no secret in New Orleans that the Catholic Diosese owns massive amounts of real estate in the city

100% B.S. The vast majority of the Founders were Christians. The earliest Congress sponsored the printing of the Holy Bible.

Get your facts straight and stop lying.
Neither of you have your stories correct, and one of you listens to David Barton, who is wrong.

You are the one who is wrong
The Vast Majority was Christians.

3 were deists out of the 204.
Thomas Jefferson
Benjamin Franklin
Cornelius Harnett

Jefferson is a Christian. Read the book Jefferson Lies

God bless you!

Once again the far left just goes to show that programmed talking points and propaganda rule the day over facts and logic.

Ok so the unions are breaking the law then, they all need to be arrested and dismantled.

No, the unions are governed by a specific chapter and verse concerning their political activity. It includes complete disclosure of the source of their money and a method for union members to opt out if they don't like the political activity.

There is absolutely NOTHING requiring parishioners to pay money to the church to be used for politics. There isn't anything that makes them pay any money to the church. They don't need an "opt out" they already have that.

But those donations are tax exempt on the theory they aren't going to be used for politics.

That's a strange looking mosque.

There's no such thing as tax evasion, it's called theft avoidance.

A total misreading of the 1st Amendment.. The restriction was meant be on the Government side, not the Churches'.

Precisely.

The 1st Amendment is a shackle on Government, specifically Congress, not the People.

Progressives have construed to Constitution, and all of its provisions, to be shackles upon the People, whilst construing the Constitution to give the Government absolute power.

Yep, I got my letter. A top priority is removing their tax-exempt status.

Of course that's the top priority of a Marxist like yourself:

"The power to tax involves the power to destroy," Chief Justice John Marshall

To have your Marxist utopia, you must destroy those who acknowledge the Old Testament.

Although, I must ask, will you also prevent Muslims from practicing their faith?

The article doesn't say a thing about Christians. But churches. It would apply as fully to Muslims as Christians or Scientologists.
You know as well as I do it is Christians that are the true target.

muslims aren't causing me any trouble. It's just those dumbass christians who want their cake and eat it too (politics and tax-exempt). I say **** them. Take away their tax-exempt status and let them **** around in politics all the constitution will allow (keeping in mind separation of church and state).
idiot.

How else but through taxation would you survive???

Politically active Christian Churches, yes, I would agree...

Have you EVER seen an Atheist say anything critical of Islam? Have you EVER seen Atheists fail to support and defend Islam in every way?

Atheists, and apparently Obama's personal secret police; the IRS, are at war against Christians, working to overturn the 1st amendment and openly persecute them.

Muslims aren't causing me any trouble.

Right.

Not only did you not see 9/11 as trouble, you stood and cheered, didn't you?

Muslims seek the end of the USA, so you naturally love them - you share a common goal. Plus, you really admire their methodology, doncha Shitting Bull?

15th post
It should be a simple ruling. If your whatever is God AND Country, kiss your tax-exempt ass goodbye. God doesn't need your Politics, and Politics doesn't need your God.

Have you Khmer Rouge democrats drafted legislation repealing the 1st amendment then?

I know it's a high priority for you, but until you do, you have no ability to place a gag order on those who hold opinions not approved of by the party.

It shouldn't apply to anyone, including Muslims or Scientology. But experience hath warned us that it will only be applied against Christians. In fact Lakhota just affirmed this in the above post.

When a religion uses donations for political purposes, its violating the conditions of its tax exempt status.

True, but there is a huge difference between a sermon condemning Obama and a church donating to a political campaign.

The former is protected free speech, the later is a violation of tax exemption.

The Khmer Rouge democrats don't grasp the difference, and don't care. They simply want to outlaw any and all criticism of Obama and their shameful party.
