IRS Fires 6,000 Workers as Trump Slashes Government

When these MAGA fools get accused of not filing their returns, not getting their refunds and being falsely accused of tax evasion, you know they're going to blame it on gov'ment bureaucracy and incompetence.

I don't have to provide a source for my personal opinion. I am the source.
So you have no evidence to support your opinion.

If they are rehiring people who were "actually doing their job", then that means they fired people who were "actually doing their job". If they're firing people who were "actually doing their job", then they're clearly not doing a thorough investigation to identify firings.

I think you are too clueless to explain anything to frankly. Or your reading ability and/or ability to think critically or be intellectually honest is seriously lacking. I will stand by my previous posts but do wish you have a lovely afternoon.

This is an excellent example of trolling. No content on the topic. Just personal attacks.

Unlike you, I can support my opinions.

An executive at the U.S. Internal Revenue Service told staffers Thursday about 6,000 employees would be fired, a person familiar with the matter said, in a move that would eliminate roughly 6% of the agency's workforce in the midst of the critical tax-filing season.

All I can say to that is -- Sorry Mods. Hope this doesn't break the "Clean Start" rule but.......

Quite a 180 from Biden’s threat to hire 87,000 more IRS agents - and they had to know how to use a weapon too.

Every large bureaucracy has AT LEAST ten percent fat. That is, ten percent of the workforce - if it is the RIGHT ten percent - can be jettisoned without impacting the business. In fact, ninety days later, the survivors will be wondering what the **** the departed 10% were doing all day.

My assessment is based on having worked for not only the U.S. Department of Defense (8 years), but also several other large organizations, and going through cutbacks like this, including being one of the innocent victims.

Frankly, I find it nauseating that when government workers lose their jobs like this it is deemed by the Media as a catastrophe, while in the real world it is no big deal - except for the affected individuals, of course.
Yup. It happens all the time in the real world, but government workers are so entitled that they feel they should be exempt from that which everyone else suffers,

Per year.
Firing a bunch of IRS workers during tax season

What could go wrong?

Well on the good side there’ll be less audits of complicated cases so some rich ducks will save some money (and our debt will grow) if you think that’s good…

Oh and refunds will be slower. But who needs those right?
Most refunds are automated.

When you lose yer pension we'll cry with yous.

Right and we will want more IRS employees fired. Eventually you get down to the twenty percent who actually do all the work.

88 thousand new IRS workers to get the rich. The inflation. Am I speaking clear enough to you? You used Republican complaints for 4 years against Trump in power for a couple of weeks with eggs. People struggled and Progs who talk of that struggle as they say they are for the little guy did nothing for 4 years.

You have not supported any of your opinions yet. I at least referred you to my other posts many of which do provide support for my opinions. Forgive me if I do not feel like repeating myself on accusations from a troll post.

Again, have a lovely day.

All this is more important than cleaning out the departments, lowering personnel costs, etc.

It's letting government workers know -- "You are not invulnerable. You can and you will be replaced if you don't do your job"

Every day I went to work, I understood that my Company could replace me any time they were in the mood. Everybody knows that -- Except goobermint works. Which is why they treat Public like shit. They do. We all know they do.

I think what OMB is doing will change all that.

The LAST people who should treat us poorly is government workers.
Most employers are bad ...I'd say upwards of 90 percent of employers hate their employees passionately.

I know someone who “works” for the IRS. He goes into the office once a week - and complains about that - and spends half of the other days on personal errands.

I need to give him a call and see what he has to say. Maybe he took the buyout. He’s 65, and he told me a year ago the only reason he’s not retiring is that he’s paid a whole lot of money for working half-days.

Whatever…..the employer still provides the employee a livelihood, and thus he can live in his own home (or rent), put food on the table, gas in the car, eat out once in a while, and go on a vacation.

Better than a poke in the eye, as my grandma would say.
