It would seem U.S. support of Israel is independent of the actions of the sitting President. A sitting President can appeal to his base by voicing strong and symbolic support to Israel, as Trump did multiple occasions, including moving the U.S. embassy, in a typically provoking move. Now we have a President going in the other direction (for good reason) but support for Israel has not wavered.
