Iowa Democrat Rita Hart will ask Pelosi House To Disenfranchise Majority In Her District and Seat Her Despite Losing Election.

The closest race in the country, a race the Republican candidate won, his opponent loser is going to ask the House to reject the winner and swear her in instead. by a razor thin margin, is now going to be decided by Democrats in the U.S. House.

On Monday Iowa certified the vote for all state races including the the 2nd district. The vote totals show that Republican Marianette Miller-Meeks defeated Democrat Rita Hart.

Once the vote was certified, Rita Hart appealed to the U.S. House to seat her despite her loss. This would be the first time Democrats have done this. In 1984 when a Republican challenger was certified the winner in Indiana, but the Democrat House refused to seat him and seated the Democrat that lost, instead.

The Republicans never got even for this.

In this race, there will be a narrow party line vote to seat the loser, the Republicans in the House will fight this and lose. They will need to retaliate for both seats, plus a penalty, the next time they are in the majority. Republicans don't like to do things like this, but the Dems are attacking our elections from every angle and it's the foundation of our representative system. It must be defended, and if playing nice isn't effective, it's time to switch to hardball like Cocaine Mitch has on judges.
