Intimidation of the opposition is still part of the playbook.

“The President directing the FBI to target us is exactly why we made this video in the first place,” Slotkin said in a tweet. “He believes in weaponizing the federal government against his perceived enemies and does not believe laws apply to him or his Cabinet. He uses legal harassment as an intimidation tactic to scare people out of speaking up.”

Goodlander, Crow, Deluzio, and Houlahan, in a joint statement, said, “President Trump is using the FBI as a tool to intimidate and harass members of Congress.”

“Yesterday, the FBI contacted the House and Senate Sergeants at Arms requesting interviews,” the statement said.

“No amount of intimidation or harassment will ever stop us from doing our jobs and honoring our Constitution,” the lawmakers said. “We swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. That oath lasts a lifetime, and we intend to keep it. We will not be bullied. We will never give up the ship.”

If a D prez threatened court martial and death for R's essentially repeating what is in the UCMJ he'd be impeached.

Against the backdrop of immense pressure, primary threats from President Trump and physical threats from his supporters, Indiana Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray, after much back and forth, announced that Indiana lawmakers would, in fact, convene to discuss whether to move forward with mid-cycle redistricting.

The announcement came with a caveat. He said the state Senate would reconvene as part of the regular 2026 session in order to make a “final decision” on the matter.

The reversal, yet again, comes after Bray said earlier this month that lawmakers would not convene for a special legislative session because there simply were not enough votes to approve new congressional maps that would, essentially, draw Democratic representation for Indiana out of the U.S. House. Indiana lawmakers will now meet at the beginning of next month.

The Fear Taking Hold Among Indiana Republicans

“I’d rather my house not get firebombed.”

No wonder the judge dropped the election case in GA.

Turmoil at CBS News After Bari Weiss Pulls a ‘60 Minutes’ Segment

CBS News remained roiled on Monday by fallout from the decision by its new editor in chief, Bari Weiss, to abruptly postpone a segment of Sunday’s episode of “60 Minutes” that was critical of the Trump administration.

Amid a swirl of questions within her newsroom, Ms. Weiss was adamant that the segment, which featured the stories of Venezuelan men deported by the United States to a prison in El Salvador, was flawed and required more reporting.

“I held that story because it was not ready,” Ms. Weiss, who joined CBS News in October, told colleagues at the top of a 9 a.m. editorial call with the newsroom, according to a recording of her remarks. She said that while the testimony of the imprisoned men was “very powerful,” other news organizations had already reported their basic story.

Weiss said she wanted someone from the regime to have on the record remarks as part of the segment. The reporter who did the story contacted the regime for comment. It declined.

This has trump acolyte Larry Ellison's fingerprints all over it.

I remember when Ellison gave Weiss the job. Alarm bells went off warning of just this sort of thing. Namely, Weiss neutering CBS in reporting critical of the Orange Menace at Ellison's direction.

The call, in which someone reported a fake emergency at the Terre Haute home of state Sen. Greg Goode, came hours after Trump criticized Indiana lawmakers for not moving forward with the plan and singled out Goode and Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray.

Must have been a coincidence. ;)
Must have been you murder cultists seeing an opportunity to cause problems. You have become redundant...

Indiana lawmaker under pressure to back Trump’s redistricting push is victim of a swatting

An Indiana lawmaker who has yet to make a decision on whether to back President Donald Trump’s push to have Republicans redraw the state’s congressional boundaries was the victim of a swatting call Sunday that brought sheriff’s deputies to his home.

The call, in which someone reported a fake emergency at the Terre Haute home of state Sen. Greg Goode, came hours after Trump criticized Indiana lawmakers for not moving forward with the plan and singled out Goode and Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray. Trump has been trying to persuade Republican-led states across the country to aggressively redraw their congressional maps to help the GOP hold the U.S. House in next year’s midterm elections.

Deputies were sent to Goode’s home after receiving an email “advising harm had been done to persons inside a home,” according to a statement from the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.

trump invoked a dog whistle term for Goode, "RINO," and it elicited the desired response. Certain trump fans, like the ones who tried to intimidate members of the court and jury during Don's trials, are still out there ready and willing to swing in to action.

A nod goes out to g5000.

Hegseth censures Sen. Kelly after Democrats’ video urging troops to resist unlawful orders

WASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Monday that he censured Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona over the former Navy pilot’s participation in a video that called on troops to resist unlawful orders.

Hegseth said the censure — by itself simply a formal letter with little practical consequence — was “a necessary process step” to proceedings that could result in a demotion from Kelly’s retired rank of captain and subsequent reduction in retirement pay.

Investigating and now punishing a sitting U.S. senator is an extraordinary move for the Pentagon, which until President Donald Trump’s second term had usually gone out of its way to act and appear apolitical. A legal expert says the choice to go after a lawmaker will complicate an already unique case.

The between the lines message being sent to other retired military people is.........."shut up or we will come after you."
