The story alludes to the possibly some of the Royal family of Saudi Arabia may have known about the plan prior to the attacks.

There is still far more to 9/11 than 19 terrorists or the death of OBL. In my (informed) opinion, the main reason we didn't go after OBL was so that we had a 'figurehead' to focus the public attention on while the MIBs tried to find out who else was involved.
